I do a little part time work for TT and as a result of my brashness have been severely reprimanded and may no longer be doing much more.
I also used to work for two of the Italian manufacturers and just get cross when people 'slag off' good equipment with limited knowledge of how it works.

Re: Advice Please - Alfa - SaveLPG Oldbury Birmingham
It seems that many of the larger insurance companies no longer require converted vehicles to be on the uklpg database, I suspect now the mot test 'covers' lpg systems (albeit in a very cursory manner) they feel that is enough, also heard that the taxi licensing offices no longer require it. I expect ...

Re: Newbie saying "Hi"
The comment about doing it open loop is, in my opinion, utter rubbish. There is absolutely no reason why a closed loop system will give you more problems. What it will do is give you better economy and allow you to check that the engine never runs lean even at maximum load. As we all know, running a ...

Re: Hyundai Coupe 2.0 Switching to gas too soon/cold??
Hi,
More likely worn o rings in the top of the injectors - best to fit new rings or a repair kit for the injectors - I have fixed several like this, always worse when cold esp. when weather is also getting colder!

Re: Alfa Twinspark to LPG
Crikey Simon, you do talk some rubbish!, take injectors for example Valtek type 34's are totally differnt to 30's (and most other injectors) in that thay have a disc inside rather than the traditional piston with 'bump' stops, the reason they ar better is that the are much faster operating, opening ...

I had the same problem with a multivalve - stinking of gas and clearly visible makrs on the bolt holes where it had been screwed in - not happy, the main concern was why had it been used and taken off?, learnt my lesson now won't be going back there!

Re: TVR Chimaera LPG Conversion Advice
TVR owner, you really are rather obnoxious and arrogant, what you have achieved after presumably spending much cash, is a system which is significantly less accurate and sophisticated than the standard off the shelf gas systems.

Excellent job indeed but I think this is the earlier manifold which does not need straws so care needed with the later one.

Re: UKLPG comments
I think the point that is being missed in this (extremely) lengthy post is that the so called 'clubs' are NOT inspecting work for each other.
I have experienced this, mainly by businesses, shall we say, not of UK origin.
One business gets UKLPG approval (doesn't matter where in the country) and the ...

Mmmm.. but pans are only the same technology/quality as Valtek type 30's which are available from reputable suppliers for about £40 + vat per rail of 4!
