Brilliant thanks, they never used the pump in tank set up on the latter transits did they?
I could use copper if it would be simpler as I've got to buy more of whatever I need anyway.

Re: Fitting a third tank
Thanks yes it's under slung same as the original install location, I'll have to have a good look and try to work out what is what outlet wise, I hadn't thought of pressure release as the other threaded one but that would make sense.

Fitting a third tank
I've got this tank going spare from a late factory gas transit, I'm thinking of adding it to my existing system to improve my range and enable to fill where it's cheaper. It should go in the spare wheel cradle area of my mk2 transit.

Hi I assume you are Four Seasons Fuel - do you still have an autogas pump?

Bottles
I sold my propane bottles with my last caravan and the new van has clip on type bottles, does anybody know if those gaslow adaptors that take them to a POL fitting so you can use a normal regulator are suitable for a reversed flow, so i can pay autogas price not about £3 a kg, in theory obviously?

Re: What pressure should a Single point vapouriser/reducer be set to?
Following your tip here I added a power valve before my BLOS, it running a lot closer to stochiometric when reving now without needing the main mixture adjustment on the BLOS to be virtually closed off, I just need to sort out my A/F ratio meter as its had a hissy fit - i think due to the lambda ...

Re: Flo gas woes again
Thanks all, fourseasons are in range to fill but last time I checked I think their autogas was about 80ppl and its in the opposite direction to where I normally head, I spoke to them previously when I was trying to buy a house a few miles away from them re supplying me with a bulk tank for home ...

Flo gas woes again
Getting shafted with a lack of gas deliveries to forecourts again, nothing locally for 3 weeks now :( local stations say the supplier doesn't even bother answering the phone but i've emailed and they say its deliveries as normal.

Re: What pressure should a Single point vapouriser/reducer be set to?
why if stoich is perfect combustion, will racers run 'rich'. It gives more power, but why? I had it we want air and as much as the fuel will burn, not less?
From a motorcycle racing point of view is is better (especially with 2 strokes) to run slightly rich than a fraction lean as rich engines ...

Re: Disappearing LPG pumps...
I can ask in the local breakers (in Surrey) what happened to the CNG tanks from the council ivecos they broke up if anybody is seriously interested? I'm assuming they will be long out of test now even if they are still say with other pressure vessels.

@CNG
Do you have a thread somewhere on what set up you have? I'm getting confused here between LNG and CNG I think, I was looking at what was described as factory CNG Crown Victorias in the States but they were talking 1000s of PSI in the tank and that along with the expiry date made me wonder.

Re: Disappearing LPG pumps...
I have a feeling there are a couple of public CNG fueling points but the lorries use private fueling points.
There was a CNG fueling poing from waste methane in Wales I think but it closed some years ago.
CNG tanks are mega heavy, you wouldn't want to be dragging one around if you weren't using it ...

Re: Disappearing LPG pumps...
I think CNG has taken a bit of a backseat in the US now as users are finding that it is uneconomic to get a new tank fitted once the use by date has expired

I remembered that and the massive improvement he got in MPG going injection - Was there ever a standalone system that came with its own ECU rather than having to go Megasquirt or one of the other diy efi type projects?

LPG injection on a 2l pinto?
Hi, i'm playing with my pinto powered transit again. Its a mk2 so factory electronic ignition and a carb.
I'm currently running open loop with a BLOS carb but would it be possible to fit a modern gas injection system to it? I have a lambda fitted already with a air/fuel ratio gauge to keep an eye on ...

How about a BLOS carb instead of a plate mixer? - Its going to need flashlube as well if it hasn't already had hardened valve seats fitted for unleaded.
