If you were to use a mixer system you can virtually eliminate petrol costs
With the temp sensor disconnected I am on lpg within 2 seconds of start up from cold summer and winter.
with no flashlube but that is on a 15 year old PSA engine.

your 20 second run is not going to use that much LPG the experts could probably work it out I suspect it would probably be less than 10cc.
IMO The vapor pressure in the tank/bottle will maintain the lines up to the solenoid valve in a liquid state. I believe it is about 100psi at 50 deg F.

As you only want it on the drag strip. and then only for 10-12 seconds at a time when you already have a full turbo boost of 1 atm.

Why not feed liquid lpg direct into a drilling in the manifold .
Your gas bottle should provide the required pressure.

would the filter be in the unit just before the SE81 and are there others.

There will be a filter built in to the solenoid cut off valve and may possibly be another incorporated by the tank.

It is not that difficult a job some of the 3mm studs ( IIRC ) will probably sheer but they are not crucial and do not contribute to either the gas or water sealing of the unit.

I hope you friend has kept enough petrol in the tank .

If not the pump burns out through lack of lubrication. it runs continuously regardless of fuel type in use.

Never investigated if you can switch of the 12v to the pump it suspect you can.

That is not a water pipe that is the control in the gas feed to the mixer.from the vaporizer.
and works in conjunction with the lambda sensor

rapid flash = stand-by for change over to LPG
slow flash = malfunction during LPG operation

top left (red) = LPG fuel level on reserve

top row green(s) denotes degree of LPG level in nominal fourths

It is rather important to know what you working with in the first place.

Is it a LCS/2 system ?
( I have the same car although P reg.)
If so I run mine without the temp sensor connected, without any problems and it has saved a lot of of Petrol since I did so 18 months ago.
I have some documentation somewhere I could try and find if it would help.
