Re: Prins system fuel gauge no red LED.
The engine has been out recently and replaced so maybe an earth has been disturbed as you suggested....just presumed it was gonna be a dodgy sticking float. Maybe I'll bash the tank a few times when almost out of gas to see if it then changes to red light? lol

Re: Prins system fuel gauge no red LED.
No I end up with one green light, it used to go to a red light when nearing empty but now my last green light stays on a lot longer and never goes red. So I run out of gas when I still have one green light on.
Cheers

Re: Prins system fuel gauge no red LED.
Thanks for the speedy reply....I don't think it will have jumped a tooth as the first green light still goes out after doing about 60 miles....the same as it has always done.
So guess it may just be sticking as the float gets nearer the bottom of the tank......are they much work to remove and would ...

Prins system fuel gauge no red LED.
Hi all
On my prins system with a 4 hole donut tank my LED fuel gauge is never showing the red LED any more.
It counts down from 4 green lights down to one green light but never goes to red anymore. It still does the same milage before cutting back to petrol so just seems like the float might be ...

Can recommend Gastech (above). They did a good job on my 4.7 V8 Grand Cherokee about 3 years ago.

Re: cuts out when warm
My Grand Cherokee fitted with a Prins system is doing exactly the same thing at the moment.
Have been told I need to get it onto a laptop whilst still in it's fault condition.

Are my calculations correct?
Hi
My way of thinking is if I'm paying 72p per litre for gas, but loosing 20% efficiency compaired to running on petrol then I am running my car as if petrol was currently costing 86.4p per litre (as I'm having to use 20% more fuel to cover the same milage).
i.e 72+20%=86.4
Are my calculations right ...

Re: Prins system, no lights at all on gauge.
Thanks for your advise.
I have been under the bonnet this afternoon, pulled out and pushed back in each plug and fuse I could find for the gas system.....and hey presto, gas system works fine again now!

Prins system, no lights at all on gauge.
Hi
I have a Prins sequential system and last night a problem seems to have developed.
All the LED's went off on the gas gauge and the car switched over to petrol. A short time later the single orange LED came back on and I was able to push the button and go back onto gas.
On my next journey the gas ...

Question for rossko....or anyone else that may know!
I have a prins multipoint injection system, but use a load of petrol before the system changes over to gas.
Is there anyway i can make it change over to gas right after starting....or even starting on gas? That would be very handy if my fuel pump ...

Flashlube or Redex lead replacement?
I have a 4.7v8 Grand Cherokee and currently use flashlube (when I remember!), but I have seen bottles of Redex lead replacement for sale.
Question is the Redex lead replacement I have seen is 91 pence a bottle whereas the flashlube is vastly more expensive than this. Couldn't I just use the Redex ...

Thanks Junckcatcher for your suggestions.
Did you get half way through your sentence about the lambda sensor? "The lambda sensors output should......."?
Not sure whether it would be the throttle sensor as I get a small "blip" misfire thing about once a second when holding it steady at 80mph.
Is the ...

Grand Cherokee splutter!
Here's a challenge for the online pool of knowledge :)
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 1999 with a prins multipoint LPG system and I'm ready to admit defeat at trying on my own to cure this! Also this may not even be an LPG problem as it seems to happen on petrol also, but help would be greatly ...
