Flashlube or Redex lead replacement?

I have a 4.7v8 Grand Cherokee and currently use flashlube (when I remember!), but I have seen bottles of Redex lead replacement for sale.
Question is the Redex lead replacement I have seen is 91 pence a bottle whereas the flashlube is vastly more expensive than this. Couldn't I just use the Redex lead replacement stuff instead?

redex goes into the petrol tank, so it will only go into the engine when running on petrol and not gas.

I mean put the redex in the flashlube bottle under the bonnet so it is drip fed in whenever running.

Yes, I've done this and it did not seem to have a bad affect on my avensis. Can't recommend it though, you pays your money and takes your choice. My reasoning was, it's wet, it's oil, it can only help. The jury's not completely decided on flashlube so I thought, what the hell?

One point I did notice is that flashlube is thinner so not suitable for the electronic delivery system?

My flashlube system is the one that works from the inlet manifold vacuum and not an electronic system, and the redex lead replacement valve lubricant stuff I saw seemed to be quite a thin liquid.
So I'm thinking surely it would do the same job?

Just read the small print on the back of the redex lead replacement/valve lubricant bottle and it says 'Not suitable for cars fitted with catalytic convertors', so I supose thats my idea out of the window!!
