if had any problems ..i would be posting on here asking ...other than the injectors wearing out at 15,000 non.

other than not being able to tune it up safely without someone sitting at the side of you with a laptop.non.

it does (rover 420) 27 -29 mpg on a run on lpg.........41mpg on petrol ...

i would not do another conversion.unless i could get the parts really cheap.

there is no way on earth that i would pay someone else to do it ..payback may never happen.

I would go open loop on the next one ....and buy an older carbed car .

because my last conversion a carbed car made more mpg ...

They are behind here in the uk ..

mine involved a full emisions test..included measuring the amount of co2 i think, in so many cubic mtrs of exhaust ..plus the inspection .

then them putting their name on the form..for someone elses work.

having said all that ..at the time was pleased ...as i was on the way to saving a lot of ...

btw, i ended uo smashing and cutting away part of the thing to be able to get the socket on it.

I don't think the certificates are any longer in existence. As far as I know, now all converted cars are put on the UKLPG register ...

Would the gunsons gas tester be any use in these circumstances at all? It does give an indication of how an engine is running, but I am not sure if this is of any use in a fuel injected car such as mine with a lambda sensor.

if for that £100 hes giving it an lpga certificate ..hes putting himself in line for trouble if anything goes wrong ..so i suppose its about that.

Not so much to do with it being a Rover T series more to do ...

i dont know ..thought it was programmed into the mot emision testing machine ..what to do ..ive not looked at them doing it that closely ..but they apear to be following instructions off the monitor

anyway .lots of Rover owners then would have new cats ..lambda's ..plugs... services and god knows ...

how the thing changes pressure with the software ..i dont know

well 80 pence is 66 percent of £1.20 average petrol price

that means you are gaining 34 percent over petrol pricewise .

take away a max of 20 percent for the for the less efficiency of LPG ..and you are only gaining 14 percent...so in real terms LPG is now 14 percent below the price of petrol ...

When there is less than 30 percent difference in price of LPG to petrol ..then will be the time to dump LPG as a fuel for many people ..that takes into consideration ..the worse MPG plus the servicing costs .and inconvenience ....and i don't think anyone converting now will be inline for any savings ...

I do .each and every time ..i even persuade the other customers to do the same .give them a real ear bashing ..

if no one says nothing they will put it up to what the market will stand ...so staying quite is not the thing to do .
