alright peeps,
I can buy a set of standard plugs for less than a tenner but you can get lpg specific iridion plugs for my engine (mercedes c230k) for about 50 quid. Anyone used them - do they make any difference ??
cheers

Unless changing plugs involves major surgery then stick to std plugs. Iridium will last a little longer but not worth messing around with unless you engine is supposed to have them

NGK list both LPG and non LPG iridium plugs - was just wondering what the difference was really ??
Re: LPG Specific spark plugs - any good ?
Aparantly the LPG version has a stronger core to give a better spark to ignite LPG also a more heavy duty insulation around the central electrode.
In reality personally I doubt they give any huge benefit.

A lot of cases of the b----k ones dropping the centre electrode into the combustion chamber from what I hear.
I'd stick with the standard ones for the car.

Yes Brisk silver plugs are fairly well known for falling apart. I've had to remove a few of them due to misfire problems.

As said, unless they are a pain to change, fit standard NGK and replace every 10,000 miles. Iridium equivalents will last about 4 times that but I don't think it's worth spending the extra on the special LPG Iridium plugs.
