Bigas injector repair

#1 Post by Melian »

I have a jeep 4.0 Cherokee with bigas injection.I had a constant misfire on gas last week and have now stripped the injector rail and found broken injector-plunger.Phoned tinley told him blue coil and they sent repair kit.Fitted it today and noticed the springs are a lot smaller than the old ones so fitted started up and now it just dies when on gas.
Any ideas

If I remember right, there are three different sorts of internals for blue tops. You can swap them as complete sets, but you do need to recaibrate the system.

What do Tinley say?

Thanks Rossko i reset the ecu this morning and away to go.The thing is now that when the temp hits 50oc as set in configuration the water temp sensor on the vaporizer jumps up at least 30c so when the car is at normal temp 94c the sensor is reading 125-135c it then reads a fault.I have not touched it at all and it was working fine before.
Any ideas on this

Ian
