LPG ecu's and semi sequential issues.

Hi guys,

It's time to ask for help again. Can anyone tell me if LPG ecu's have any preference with regards to "bank" injection??, the reason I ask is because I have removed my AFC KME system from my BMW and fitted it to my Toyota Previa and since doing so it does seem to run correctly on either petrol or gas. If I remove the LPG ecu and bridge the connections however It runs excellent. I cant find any wiring diagrams for semi sequential wiring but the softwate is setup for semi sequential.
To shed more light on things, from the petrol ecu has 2 wires and thos 2 wires goto 2 injecters each. One goes to injector 1 and 3 and the 2nd wire goes to injector 2 and 4, I did the wiring at the injectors them selfs so I could retain individual fuel trims for each injector and not just has a pair of injectors. Should I just of taken injector wires 1 and 2 from the LPG ecu and joined together at Petrol ecu end and the same with the 2 wires at the injector end???. Sequential is so much less hassle.

I think you must have a wiring problem there somehow.

I had to read your post 3 times to work out what you had done. Connecting to each injector is the right way of doing it. On group injection you can cut the common wire(s) but for DIY doing it at the injector is the best bet.

The AFC system will work on the previa with no problems as I have used it on them before.

Go back through the wiring and make sure you have not crossed over any of the injectors

You need to take care to get the gas system wires inserted into a cut both on the correct wire of the petrol injectors (petrol ECU side) and the correct way round (stripey wire to petrol ECU)

If I have this right you have running issues on petrol and LPG with the LPG ecu connected but not with the injector wires jumped. It sounds like you may have bad connections on your injector cut wires. When this is the case the slight extra load of the lpg ecu can cause missing on petrol, but is not present when the wires are joined. I have found this on various systems where the wiring isnt great, so would suggest you check your connections, and as said previously, check the sequence of the wires at the same time.
