London LPG stations and prices
I've spotted three so far - two Shell stations - one off The Old Kent Rd and at Shepherds Bush Green and a BP station on Camberwell Rd - this one has one pump and the price last week was 73.5p per litre - this week 78.5p ! ... any others and prices ? Cheers.
Re: London LPG stations and prices
Have a look at Richard's site, www.filllpg.co.uk and see for yourself (and add any that aren't there). The only 2 London ones I know for definite is Sainsburys at Beckton (A13/A406 Junction) and the Calor depot on the A12 at Bow.

Re: London LPG stations and prices
That Sainsburys at Greenwich (just other side of the blackwall tunnel to Beckton) is dreadful for filling - slow as anything when I've tried and didn't seem to fill to full capacity. Theres a fair few still and who knows with the changes to the LEZ going on more may reappear.
Depending where you are in London - outer London is reasonably easy to find - Richards site is very worthwhile with current poi files for satnavs and the android app (theres a windows phone app as well though haven't used that personally). The coverage of south London i suspect may have a few more stations than on Richards site, but haven't personally found them yet else they would be added.
Most of the Sainsburys sites that still do it down that way are cheap most of the time (Cobham just off the A3 near the m25 in surrey, and london colney off j22 of the m25). I generally fill up before getting into London if I have to venture down there.

If you use a satnav or smartphone there is poi files for the satnav that you can put onto it and setup the satnav to alert you when your close to a filling station or tell you which ones are near to you. I've not played alot with the smartphone app but the function is somewhat similar provided you have a compatible phone. Both available from richard's site and worth looking at.
Re: London LPG stations and prices
Yes you can. I work out of an office in Canning Town and usually drive down in a diesel company vehicle but I have gone down there in my own car once or twice and stopped there once. They aren't particularly quick, it's a tiny yard so turning round to get out again can be fun, but it's convenient being right alongside the A12.poormansporsche wrote:So you can actually drive in and fill up a car at the calour gas place at Bow as i go past it all the time and never knew !!!!

Re: London LPG stations and prices
Cheers . A bit out of my way but as my local LPG station (forest hill) have closed down its a pain !!!
Re: London LPG stations and prices
Forest hill is open again as a BP site in case you haven't seen and does the MRH autogas accumulator card- was quite cheap when i went past today (66.9) plus whatever you have clocked up on the card.
Re: London LPG stations and prices
I found the cheapest one was actually just as you set off on the m1!
69.9p
Its a shell one if that helps
