merc e240 slow to change to gas

hi guy,s I'm a newbie to this forum I have a merc e240 2.6 v6 year 2000 fitted with esgi 2 system but it will not change to gas until the engine has reached working temp.i have the software any help would be welcome, gallie

That's how it is supposed to work.
Be sure the engine is warming up properly - broken engine thermostats are common.
Look in the ESGI software to see what the changeover temperature is set to now.

thanks for the reply the temp is set at 35 degrees ,will check the thermostat and let you know,cheers
