No the moral of the story is that Flashlube does actualy work. It is known and proven.

How you have managed to do any miles in a A series with no valve saver on LPG without suffering VSR I would love to know. The Pinto for a cruddy F@#d engine will go on for a while without any valve saver. The A series is a real test bench for finding of what works and what does not.

Because his Maestro has the later A Plus engine which has valve seat inserts rather than the original A series which have the seats cut directly into the cast iron head. The A Plus was the updated version that could be run on unleaded petrol so had to have the inserts.

It is only the very last A plus engines that had the heads changed for unleaded, even with those heads you still need flashlube for running LPG

Can't see flash lube being a con, I can see it being a ripoff price wise tho. With my vehicle it does allways start on petrol and otherhalf dealt only uses it mostly for start stop driveing as she works in community nurseing, can do 80 miles a night so the lpg is good for the pocket and engine gets its protection in short bursts aswell as the flash lube so hopefully any wear will be kept to a minimum. as previous posts have mentioned the price of the product which i feel are artificialy high to make profit. I still think such as diesel fuel is used to power a vehicle it still has all the products contained within it to reduce top end wear could be a cheeper substitute if used spareingly enough like the valve lube is.

I don't think the price is a con, it just needs an expensive active ingredient. If you look at the spec that Classicswede posted

you'll see that the stuff costs $250 for 5mg. It may well be diluted in white spirit or diesel for all we know, but it still isn't going to be cheap.

one reason why some might have problems is because you let your lpg tank run dry and the lpg burns hotter when near empty...my transit only runs on gas so i make sure its always quarter full at least

Absolute bollocks!!!!!

LPG burns at the same temperature whether you have 100 litres in the tank or are down to the last dribble of liquid. It seems to be a popular misconception that the pressure in the tank drops as the level goes down, it doesn't, it remains at around 10 bar as long as there is some liquid left in there. Even if it did, it still wouldn't affect running as the liquid is turned into a vapour in the vaporiser (the clue is in the name) and fed to the engine at around 1 bar. The only time it will go lean is when there is no liquid in the tank at all and only vapour is arriving at the vaporiser.

Nope, don't need it, don't use it and wouldn't touch a car on LPG that did need it. All I'm doing is explaining things by dumbing them down to a level an ignoramus can understand and correcting some misinformation......
