Autogas experts Hitchin Recommendations?

Having someone else inspect your work is a good thing and the best way to keep standards high.

For me and most of teh other installers here I think it is safe to say we would be ashamed at having our work turned down.

Trouble is the chaps that our out there turning out rubbish would probably try and hide the odd bodge and hope teh inspector does not notice!

I think the crucial thing here is what you are essentially saying is that certification by uklpga (or whatever they have decided to call themselves) isnt worth the paper it id written on.
Something that is touted by its creator as a way of standardising lpg industry turns out to not have done this, and all you are left with is its a money printing machine for the clever people who are behind it.
If the people issuing the accreditation dont care about who they are giving it to, then it goes the way of school gcse's.
For some of you small independents out there, government intervention will put you out of business over night through higher costs. Be careful what you ask for.

This is a serious problem; in the end, the problem operator has been tackled but it seems to have taken too long. There are checks in the system, but they don't seem to have been effective here.

I do get fed up with seeing this repeated - you do realise UKLPG's registration fee is £12.50, payable once in the lifetime of the vehicle?

Yes - alternative ideas do need serious consideration, including their ramifications. It has all been done to death here before, but seems there is no apparent danger of anyone taking the "they should ..." ideas anywhere near gov agencies, it's just hot air.

First post on here, as a result of attempting to reach Autogas Experts without success.

Perhaps I was one of the lucky ones, having had a BRC conversion done on a Mercedes Sprinter last year, which as far as I can tell, is ok. I do recall having reservations about leaving the vehicle with them but was assured the job would be done professionally and I kept the pressure on during the interim while the installation was carried out. There were a couple of glitches which did get sorted afterwards.

So now after a year I look to get the annual service done and find they are no longer trading, at least under the name of Autogas Experts. Web searches have lead me here, looking for someone I can trust to check the system over (from the installation point of view, given the threads I've seen so far) and do the servicing, which I still want to get done from a preventative maintenance point of view, even though my 3 year warranty is now, it seems, worthless.

Anyone recommended in the Notts/Lincs area, preferably mobile, with credentials please?

Ive just bought a Jag with an install carried out by AutoGas Experts, I tried to ring them with no luck and a web seach has brought me here.

So to open I would like to say "Hello" to you all.

The car seems to drive fine, but I have no idea where my nearest LPG service centre is, has anyone any recommendations. Oh I live in Colcherster Essex.

Edward came and did a thorough inspection and system service last week - top bloke.

Installation was all fine, except for the external suspended tank being mounted without any load spreading plates or even bolt washers - it could literally have ripped through the floor at any moment

All sorted now, thanks to Edward's expertise and helpful posters on here.

Hi guys i just find out last week that people who was running Autogas Experts(Hitchin) and Autogassolutions(Corby) moved back to Lithuania and open garage there so its going to be hard to contact with them.

lets hope they stay there,they have done enough damage here in the UK, i had one of theirs in today pi$$ing gas out everywhere oscar N system fitted eeeerrm not very well , and in the past 3 days i have had 5 calls relating to their conversions.
The thing that really pi$$es me off more than anything is they were approved by UKLPG and had been for ages.

TBH i,m sick of hearing the same old story from all over the country not just these jokers....UKLPG sort your selves out...nuff said
