Countrywide Prices

#1 Post by dodders »

Having seen three price rises from countrywide since christmas and the price of fuel dropping a fair amount in the last few weeks.
It should be about time countrywide dropped there LPG prices, they were quick to rise in March with two price rises that month,so logic(!) should be they drop as quick?

Rang them up to find out, wouldn't responded to my general question on price drop across the board but after a day or two did drop my own price by 3p.

So looks like they won't drop prices, you have to ask!

Yes, theres nothing they can do atm, due to north sea oil prices. - even though the letter said to get in touch if I wanted to negotiate a discount!

They said to try them in a week when they get the updated oil price and they will look at it then. I will let you know if I ever get any positive news.

What is considered cheap seems to vary from one area to another. I drove up to County Durham last weekend and filled up when setting off at 78.9ppl. Admittedly that isn't the cheapest around here (which is Flogas) but it's the cheapest of the filling stations, most of the others are at 79.9 or higher. Filled up again in North Yorkshire at a filling station on the A1, so you would expect it to be high, at 73.9ppl! On the way back I was down to my last couple of litres and filled up in Nottinghamshire, again on the A1 and had to pay 83.9ppl No sense in it at all.
