Just thought I`d say hi to everyone, my daily commute is a 2.2 frontera running multi point system. It averages 240 mile on 59litres(town driving).My other car is also a frontera, 2.2DTI with LPG assist on it(used for green laning etc).

Seeing your username I thought you'd dropped a Lotus twincam into a Frontera. That would be interesting (but thinking about it, didn't the original Lotus 901 engine in the Esprit use a Vauxhall 2300 block?).

Thanks for the welcome.
Lotus used the vauxhall 2300(slant four) cast iron block as a mule while they tested their heads for the Jensen healey, lotus elite/eclat/esprit I believe.
But the block that was fitted to the Lotus engine was all alloy.

Sounds interesting your Frontera 2.2 Diesel with lpg assist, did you fit the system yourself?
I 've read alot about diesel lpg conversions. Do you get more pulling power?

Yep fitted the system to the diesel myself, a lot easier than petrol It gave a little more torque but not a great deal. Think I need to look at system and alter a few things to make it more beneficial, but truck off the road at mo , so no rush
