Interesting, Autogas.app shows two of the ones near me (St Ives and Wisbech) are both shown as having been updated today and are now 1.09p, others, (Cambourne and Wellingborough) are shown at 1.29 but haven't been updated for a few days and Pinchbeck (Spalding) temporarily out.

Maybe they have succumbed to pressure or they are doing a 'when it's gone it's gone' sale before closing them..... Hopefully the former.

Hmm, on the same forum I mentioned someone else posted to say their local Morrisons forecourt (will be somewhere in the Northwest and likely around Warrington) changed the price to £1.09 too.. Better than £1.29 but still not low enough, I hope they continue to lower the price further.

I just sent Morrisons a message myself using their Email us form.. Rambling but hopefully still gets the point across.

This is about LPG pricing, not petrol or diesel pricing.
For many years Morrisons forecourts were considered by most LPG vehicle users as having lower than the general average price, many LPG vehicle users went out of their way to shop at Morrisons stores so that they could refuel with LPG during the same visit. Recently however Morrisons vastly increased LPG prices, the largest single increase was 30p per litre from 99.9 to 129.9 but before the increase to 99.9 there was an increase from around 70p to 99.9. LPG users are aware that Morrisons sold forecourts to MFG, they are aggrieved with MFG but are also aggrieved at Morrisons for the price increases, many LPG users say they won't shop at Morrisons again due to this. LPG vehicle users know that vehicles get 20% less mpg running on LPG than on petrol, so if they pay 129.9 for LPG it costs the same as paying 155.9 for petrol, obviously nobody will pay that. It costs owners around £2000 to convert their vehicle to LPG, the idea of the conversion is to save money in the longer term by running on LPG, to many of these vehicle owners Morrisons was seen as the last major chain still supporting their use of LPG converted vehicles and making sure they didn't waste their £2000 investment, so for Morrisons to sell forecourts to a firm that suddenly increases LPG prices and looks set to remove the LPG pumps using the excuse they are not selling any LPG (we know what is going on) people have understandably been left with a negative impression of Morrisons. The users of LPG vehicles will not be rushing out to buy a new or even new-ish vehicle anytime soon, most prefer an older vehicle that does not depreciate in value quickly but still they want it to be relatively cheap to run and relatively clean in terms of emissions, this is what converting a vehicle to LPG gives them and has been what Morrisons provided them with a means to do... These people will not buy an electric vehicle if they give up their LPG vehicle, instead they are more likely to buy an older and vastly more polluting diesel vehicle... Not that removing an LPG pump from a forecourt makes space for an electric vehicle charging point anyway. MFG said that the price increases are not their fault, they said their supplier increased the price so they had to follow suit. We all know this is not true, or how do competitors still sell LPG all around the country at around 80p per litre? If MFG's supplier increased the price why don't MFG use a different supplier? As already said, we LPG users know that Morrisons sold forecourts to MFG but we are aggrieved with both MFG and Morrisons for not continuing to support LPG users, Morrisons could have told MFG they would not sell forecourts unless MFG agreed to still support LPG and keep prices around the better end of competitive. We LPG users are sure Morrisons still has some say in what happens at their forecourts, we would urge Morrisons to use their say to ensure the continued sale of LPG at a good (much lower than current) price, or many of us simply won't shop in Morrisons at all. The price of LPG at Morrisons has doubled in just the last few years, most of that increase being recent, people are already going out of their way to make more people aware of these price increases and making the point that contrary to More Reasons To Shop At Morrisons there is actually one very good reason to not shop in Morrisons again. I convert vehicles to LPG for a living, so you will correctly assume I am biased, but you would be incorrect to assume I have said things that are not true - People really are stopping shopping at Morrisons because of LPG price increases. Over the last few years I filled up 3 vehicles per week at my local Morrisons forecourt, my own car and 2 customers cars that I converted to LPG every week, during the same time I converted 800 examples of just one make/model vehicle, plus all the other vehicles I converted to LPG. I am just one LPG vehicle convertor, there are others like me around the country and there are many thousands of vehicles that run on LPG.. Do not believe that there are few LPG vehicles on the road so they are a tiny minority that can be ignored, there are a great many LPG converted vehicle users in the UK and most of them have been using Morrisons forecourts to refuel until recently. There are far more LPG vehicles on the roads than DVLA know about (because most owners don't even bother to change the fuel types on the logbook) and far more LPG vehicles on the road than the trade body (LiquidGas UK, formerly UKLPG, formerly LPGA) know about, the trade body don't have a clue how many vehicles run on LPG because they only know how many vehicles their members convert to LPG and they don't have many members. Morrisons has/will lose a lot of trade from LPG vehicle users and not only from the forecourts but also from the stores unless the forecourts start selling LPG at a reasonable price again.
I would very much like a reply please, not from a robot or from a customer services person but from someone with authority to make real changes. I hardly expect a reply but I have copied this message and will be pasting it on as many LPG related forums and Facebook groups that I (and others) can think of and on as many shopping related forums/platforms I and others can think of. Just read that Morrisons Blackpool have increased price of LPG to £1.49 per litre

To be honest, they can mess around all they like, I've stopped using them very long time ago. There are many independents that are competitive and provide great customer service.

Yes, I agree. I refuse to pay more than £1 a litre and will happily run on petrol in between filling up at independents. Meanwhile by no longer using Morrisons for fuel or food they are missing out on thousands of pounds of business from me.

Strange thing about Morrisons, the Chingford and Enfield branch, they dropped their prices to £1.15 when initially all other branches put it up to £1.29. Since others have dropped it down to £1.09, but those two branches carry on with £1.15. The so called invisible loss of business is already substantial if they ever notice those things...

Finally Morrisons have reduced their LPG price back down to 99.9p (along with most MFG forecourts). It just about makes it worth getting. However, when I'm in the Birmingham area I can get gas 30p a litre cheaper. I'm still not going to be doing my weekly £100+ grocery shop in Morrisons until LPG is more reasonably priced.

I had to stop at Cambourne Morrisons on Tuesday or I wouldn't have got home on gas and was pleasantly surprised to find it has dropped to 99.9p. Although considering LPG is a by-product of making petrol and diesel, the price of which has dropped quite a bit recently, it's still expensive. Birmingham area prices are more realistic at around half the price of petrol.

That's right SImon, when they upped it from 89 to 99.9p circa Feb 2024.

Talking of which couple of independently run Shell stations have now dropped their prices to 77p mark from 80p.

It should really go up and down in line with petrol and diesel prices. It shot up to a pound and higher when diesel hit £2 a litre, it just hasn't come down correspondingly or it would be down to around 65-70p now.

Petrol about 1.45 gbp a litre.

At repsol if you have their discount card as well as a norauto (similar to halfords) card you get almost 10% off all fuels, so lpg wins the game....
