Re: kme twin reducer?
It's new that one isn't it.
I was interested in it. They say "only 0.2bar drop at 400hp from idle".
I didn't even see anybody stocking it, nevermind using it, but yes I read about it on the KME website. It's a bit fat, understandably.
I'll be interested to hear what you think.

Re: kme twin reducer?
lpgshop says 0.2bar at 350bhp, not 400 or 410 - still not bad though. Impressive on paper.
I've seen a pair of KME Golds used to good effect running huge injectors and lowish baseline vapour pressure to fuel a 360bhp evo - two were used to eliminate a dynamic pressure issue with the single ("320bhp") gold. The Twin seems very similar in concept. I wonder is the Twin like two Silvers, or two Golds, does it drift and is it reliable?
Max 1.7 bar might seem more suited to big and/or high revving NA motors? For low cylinder turbo installations I'm convinced by the solution of big, but not crazy big, injectors, and higher baseline vapour pressure to help them flow - so the Twin might be less suitable than other reducers and might force the use of massive injectors?

Normally aspirated engines suck!

Re: kme twin reducer?
OH yeah that's what the KME website says too - I was remembering it wrong.
To be fair though that is about how my KME Gold is performing on my 325hp v8. Its set for 1.55bar at idle with the Hana nozzles back in, and it's not dropping much.

Re: kme twin reducer?
so finish my x5 4.8is
recorded what pressure holds reducer..
at very high revs a would say max revs
reducer pressure drops from 1.2/1.0 bar..
as first try i very happy with that reducer..

Re: kme twin reducer?
Thanks for the information!
May I ask: does it come with the solenoid & filter? I know that on this model they are both external/separate. The thing I like about the KME gold is that the solenoid is incorporated into the design, and the filter is supplied alongside. There is no problem to find a compatible solenoid/filter and so no worry about creating restriction in the flow.
KME website says the R2 Twin has "External solenoid valve with filter". Is it included with it, or do you have to find one yourself?
