Newbie, with bigas issues! Advice sought

#1 Post by Beanmasteruk »

Got a range rover 2003 4.4 V8 with bigas conversion. Had a leaky vaporiser, so got a new one and changed it. Now it doesn't like switching to gas. Some time it wil, sometime it won't....! Think I need it plugging in to read the fault codes on gas Ecuador. Does any one know, or can recommend, anyone familiar with bigas system who cand access fault codes. I'm in Hampshire, Aldershot, but am prepared to travel to get this done. Hoping someone can help, thanks in advance

Did you change like for like? Bigas reducer? New reducer getting hot with engine running?
Does it just refuse to switch or attempt to switch, beep and switch back to petrol?

Yes it was like for like. New reducer is getting hot yes. I bled it today to see if there was an air pocket. It just seems to decide to sometimes switch and sometime not. I checked all temp sensors but none seemed loose. I also adjusted the pressure, which helped somewhat, but under kick down it hesitates and the thing has a hissy fit, beeping and flashing lights! I'm guessing it needs setting up properly, pressure wise
