Somewhere between 1.5 and 4.0mm depending on the injector model and gas pressure. Can usually be worked out from make/model of gas system. Over to you ....

That's rubbish regulation, or you taking note of gas pressure reading when on petrol? (it isn't meaningful)

Still can't recommend any nozzle size, still no idea what injectors you have.
Have you looked in the manual at all, it does offer some suggestions.

The software speaks the truth here - "too small". So a start might be to find out what you have now, so you can go a step bigger ...

However injection times are linked to pressure, and your pressure looks pants so far. What sort of reducer is this?

Is this a new system, what does your installer say?

You gets what you pay fer.

Valtek are invariably supplied with 1.5mm nozzles, the smallest size, as its cheaper to stock only one size and leave you to drill out.
Have you looked in the manual about sizes yet.

But before messing with sizes, wind up your Magic to something around 1.2 to 1.3 bar at idle.

You need to re-claibrate after any pressure or nozzle size changes.

Hi,
Checked injector size, 3.2mm. tweaked reducer, and remapped. according to online manual should be 2,4 to 2.6.
not drilled anything, just checked. but software did say jets too small. any ideas. map included

Don't believe it.
What are you measuring? You have to remove the injector nozzle to see the restricted end.

Somewhere, somehow, yes.
So far as I know Valtek don't even make 3.2 nozzles, so that is suspicious.

Gas injection times of ~12mS at idle with a pressure of 1.2 bar tells me the gas is really restricted somewhere.

It's not impossible that you have a filter that isn't passing, or a kinked hose, or that all the injectors have been assembled wrong, or someone has tinkered with them and lost the setup ....

Do check what kind of injectors you have told the software are fitted (but I can't see incorrect selection having this kind of effect)

But most likely is that you haven't found the nozzle restrictors yet.

Software selection : different types and makes of injectors open and close at different speeds, and need different electrical drive for high or low impendance. By selecting from a menu of injectors, the software will sort that out for you. If you tell it to drive one kind of injector, but something different is actually fitted, it makes a hash of things.
However, I don't think it will mess up quite as badly as your readings are messed up. But maybe it does, so worth checking of course.
Can't say anything about your particular settings as
a) don't know what you've set in software
b) don't know what model injectors you actually have (Valtek is just the make) they're probably labelled "Type 32" or something like, and the coils are probably red or yellow or something like.

The part of your readings that I'm homing in on is the gas injector times at around 11.5mS. That's way too long, you should be looking for times more like half that. You would need twice the gas pressure or twice the hole area to flow the same amount of gas in half the time, hence my conviction you still have a too-small restriction in the nozzles.

Backing that up: we know these kits are almost always supplied new with the smallest size, which would certainly be too small for your car. You haven't drilled anything out yet, so it seems a reasonable guess that you still have the small size.

Exactly where the restrictions are depends on the injector. It's not the nipples into your manifold.
It's usually the small brass nipples coming out of the injector rail.
Sometimes the size they were manufactured at is stamped on the hexagon, but of course you can't rely on that because someone may have drilled them out.
You can't tell by looking at the end the hose pushes on, you need to unscrew the brass nipples from the injector rail and look at the inside end.
On Valtek rails with plastic hose spigots, it's the screw-in brass tip that does the sizing.

As you had trouble finding the part to drill, any chance you can describe what you did for the benefit of others who may run into the same trouble later?

I'd prefer to see a higher gas pressure for this car, but I expect that'll just about cope.

you can find the injector jets [restrictors] on the injector rail, the brass outlets where the rubber hoses fit, remove these and youll find the narrowed hole inside, this is your jet size. mine were 1.5mm as roskko said they would be[top man] look in your instructions and find what size yours should be. and drill to that size. rerun calibration.

And when in the future you'll have some problems with your gas system, start from injectors- just bin them as they are not injectors but solenoids.

Just get injectors size so Your multiplier line fits between 1.2-1.4.
2.7 should be ok. and then set it up on the road in the same conditions as manual say.
