thanks for reply. stag loom are all plug and play. checked ign on 12 ish volt on rangie inj loom, connector on stag loom ign on about 10 ish volt, connect live to live . is that how it should be?

Not quite sure what you mean by live to live but somebody else had the same problem recently. Although the Bosch connectors are the same, the polarity isn't standard so you could still have the connections reversed. The answer was to reverse the pins in the connectors.

so if i reversed both of the connector blocks on the stag loom. say for 1 injector, i should see a reading for that injector on software set up

Or plug and no-go in this case.
V8 RR injector are opposite polarity connections to almost every other engine. Your injector break is on the positive supply side, instead of the ECU drive side.
What advice does your kit supplier have for you?

ah, so i cut the 12v ign live from original inj loom. and this is powered by stag ecu connector. is that sounding correct?

No. The LPG ECU is cutting the supply wire to the injectors but it should be cutting the signal wire from the ECU. You need to reverse the wires in the plugs so that the intercept is in the other wire.

for correct operation, you should also make sure the box is ticked (or not as the case may be) for the software. ie petrol injectors driven by + If it isnt tick the box marked no! weird logic for the Stag device.

Hi guys. First post and I'm sorry to piggy back on to a very old post but this is my exact issue. I'll explain in full. My 02 plate P38 4.6 Motronic had a gas conv way back in the stone age of 2004. Well afer 85k miles and ten years of service the front end parts were dying. So having done a successful LPG install on my old Omega I decided to take the plunge and replace the front end of the lpg kit. So as I used STAG last time I went for it again. Ive got a STAG 300 ISA 2 KIT. Now its all fitted and using the 10.1 firmware I've can see all the readings for RPM, Lambda swings and temps but I can't get an injector signal from all 8. So it looks like Land Rover wired something different. So which wires am I to swap round? Is the actual original pins on the injector plugs which need swapping or do I need to modify all 16 plugs on the STAG harness? I tried checking the box for + driven injectors but it made no difference on it's own.
Cheers all

You can swap either the petrol injector pins over or the (female socket) pins in the Stag loom.. I would check the polarity of each injector plug on the P38, you might find one or two plugs are wired with opposite polarity to others on the vehicle. You will need to swap the polarity of most injector or female Stag plugs if not all..

I'm guessing all. I can't see the pulse on all 8. Stupid ruddy car.

Bosch does stipulate a standard pinout for it's injector plugs and for reasons best know to themselves Landrover chose not to follow the convention... Still, polarity of petrol injectors isn't important....
Can only really blame the installer for this kind of error

Right I've been unchained from the kitchen sink. So I went and had a play this afternoon. I changed round the wires on the LR loom but the gas ecu is still not seeing the injector pulse or so it says. So what other options have I got? The software is telling me I have an error and it can't see the pulse but not always . I'm at complete loss now

Still a problem with the wiring somewhere...
You did swap the pins around in the plugs which connect to the vehicle's original loom plugs, not those in the LPG loom plugs which plug onto the petrol injectors?
Is there still a red wire for ignition live> If so, where have you connected it?

I swapped the wiring on the original lanrover injector plug. The red wire I am struggling with. I thought that maybe the cause of my issues so temporarily I'm connecting it directly to the battery while I try and work the problem.
