Bought an S6 on LPG

I recently bought an Audi S6 4.2V8 tiptronic on lpg. It has the Prinns system fitted, not sure if this is a good system or not but no problems so far. 340bhp with decent running costs, I'm not complaining. I really don't understand why some people are so anti LPG???

Good to hear it I have a cayenne with an BRC conversion make sure you get it serviced from a prins approved installer

I think that the reputation of older, cruder systems has stuck with the industry, and everyone knows someone who's had a problem with a LPG car (which may or may not have been linked to the LPG system). Bad news always travels fastest! Just last week I was told by an otherwise knowledgeable motor engineer that "Gas is pathetic, because you lose 20-30% power and it will wreck your engine"!
Couple that with the fact that with something that is generally carried out for economy reasons there is a temptation to use the cheapest kit/installer, with consequent issues over after sales support then you can see why people are cautious...

Prins is generally regarded as the 'best' system BTW.

I'm very happy with the car & the lpg kit, no problems & you can't even tell it runs on gas, even on change over.......except under hard acceleration. The only thing I have noticed on a few occasions on fill up is it doesn't always cut off.

On a S6 wow!.....what kind of figures are you getting? MPG or miles per tank etc

A fellow S. owner! I got my S4 a month ago on LPG and am delighted. You should go on Audi SRS forum if not already there, it's great.
