trying to get the last of the LPG from tank ?? issues

#1 Post by Ricey155 »

Today being tight and having no luck with getting autogas/LPG on route i decided to try and get a little more gas from my system

problem being i pressed the button and a mile later it warned me the gas was DRY ! back on petrol tried it again, only problem was i finally got gas on the M6 Chorley and the dam thing wouldn't register a full tank and reverted to petrol everytime i pressed the buttom

any ideas ??? can it be reset or shutting the car down for a while could that reset it ?? never done it before stupid really

Doing that shouldn't give any special problems - in general.

Occasionally it does - when the gas is first turned back on after a refill and the upstream pipes are completely depressurised, an excess flow valve might trip. They're there to prevent large gas loss if say a fuel line were severed.
Do try again, most likely it will work after a rest overnight.
