1st post onto the forum so novice all round... ( please advice of my mistakes ) ... don't want to upset..Hope this post is in the correct place...sorry if not
I've just been looking at vauxhall's figures for petrol vs lpg on the zafira 1.8ltr and wonder if anyone finds it strange:
extra urban-- petrol 43.5mpg current price round here £1.30
extra urban-- lpg 31.00mpg current price round here £0.75
Not close to the normal accepted 10% less mpg on lpg more like 28%
so over a 1000mile trip on petrol it would cost £135.98p ,, lpg £110.08p
a wild saving of £25.90p to lpg.
I've just had a quote to fit 2 lpg filters and adjust the vaporiser = £220.00p
payback on this with the £25.90 saving on lpg would be 7723 miles of gas before I start saving again...two years to me...hoping nothing major goes wrong..
So is gas really the way to go with the gas service costs so much and on TOP of the normal vehicle servicing costs..
Now I don't know where vauxhall got there figures but my Zaffy don't do close..
Also anyone know ( i've been told)
VERTON gas ,, not found it on google or anywhere .. ? legpull ?
Anyone know any koltec-necam filter suppliers for a 2004 factory fit zafira 1.8 ??
cheers
