zafira lpg cutting out code 41

#1 Post by afy2a »

hi have an lpg factory fitted and the system is necam koltec gsi, switches over on gas for a few minutes before swithing back to petrol
have changed the map sensor from similar vehicle and no change. so far the stepper motor and solenoid are fine as it does run on gas initiallly on switch over.
done a diagnostic test using the flashing test and got code 12 followed by 41...checked severall times and definately code 41.
dont know what this means as it is not mentioned anywhere..
any help would be appreciated..

Code 41 is 'Learning value bank 1 has reached maximum'

No idea what that means.

Code 12 as you know is 'Diagnosis initiation/separator (indicates beginning/end of fault code list)'

Check for codes on your petrol ECU just in case something is stored in there too.

Try resetting your LPG ECU by removing power from it for 15 mins.

I have a second alternative list that matches up on just about everything but for 41 and 42.

In this list it says 'Code 41 1 gear indent switch - voltage low'

This would possibly point towards something to do with the speedo/ camshaft sensors.

You will need to do some serious investigating to get to the bottom of this one.

after filling up with gas this morning ..the car does not cut out from lpg and seems to be running fine...
am guessing that the previous fill up may have been contaminated.....
the 41 code has also disappeared after clearing the lpg ecu....
theres another way to do this as ive read on aniother thread...
remove the negative terminal and press on the brake pedal for ten seconds.

Yes, so long as the power has discharged from any capacitors.

They discharge over a short time naturally or you can discharge using the brake lights etc.
