astra mrk4 Temp gauge

Hi guys whats your temp gauge read on a normal journey of around 20 mins driving ?

It is a very common problem for the thermostat to stick on the Vauxhall Astra.

The gauge should read between 80 and 90deg. once warmed up.

If you find that the temperature is only ever this when in static traffic and drops very low when moving, the thermostat is sticking and needs replacement.

Thanks sounds just about the same as i can have a temp of about half way then when in traffic it drops down which is not normal when sitting in traffic. also i can go to a place my temp reads first 2 marks on dial then restart engine and it shoots up to half way.
Will have to get it changed as its not exspensive.
