Bulk increase

Gang, I've just received the following from Flogas.

"...recent increases..... $35 a barrel at the beginning of the year to $80 in October.....no choice...... all deliveries from the 9th November will be subject to an unavoidable price increase of 3 pence per litre."

This makes the cost to me of my bulk gas almost the same as the local network's retail price!!! What's the point in me having the damn tank...? We went through nearly 19,000ltrs last year, yet they still claim they can't supply it any cheaper even though they retail it for less down south! I'm starting to hate ALL suppliers - robbing barstewards, every last one of them!

I can see me going disiesel at this rate, even though I love my V8's and hate disiesel.

What does it work out to per litre buying in bulk? I was paying 44p per litre at Flogas up until a couple of weeks ago when it went up to 45p.

Damn. Well it helps explain the sudden 3pence price increase at my local LPG station thats located where I got my car converted.

Was 53.9ppl when I filled up on Monday morning, went to fill up this moring to notice it was 57.0ppl :o

Was not happy, but was on reserve, so filled up, but will be filling up elsewhere now as I believe that its still 54.9 in and around Norwich.

Is this just something that FloGas has done (where I usually fill up is FloGas), or have others also? What companys tend to supply the likes of Tesco etc?

Jon.

those are some huge prices, I filled up last Monday at the Flogas depot in Birmingham for 43.6 then in Bristol at the weekend for 48.9. Think you guys are getting ripped off

It really can vary in price, so it pays to shop around. The four around me are as follows:

Four Winds Service Station, A17 (Jet - New Install) 47.9p
TCS St Leonards, Grantham (Total) 51.9p
Sleaford Road, Boston (Shell) 53.9p
Hockmeyer Motors, Sleaford (Texaco) 59.9p

Since Four Winds and Hockmeyer are only 8 miles apart, that's a heck of a difference, especially when you bear in mind that each one has a local monopoly.

Go to Calor in Norwich (next to B&Q), not sure whether they charged me incorrectly last time but it was only 43.8p/l.

My local Shell in Surrey is now charging 57.9ppl!!!!

I have just spent a weekend in North Wales so my V8 drank heavily. Warwick services (M40) was charging 56.9ppl IIRC, now motorway prices are normally extra inflated, so work that one out.

I have noticed a difference in filling stations supplied by Calor and those by Flogas. FG is normally several ppl cheaper.

Texaco at the Buck Barn crossroads in West Sussex is Flogas and last time I filled up there they were 5ppl less than the Shell (Calor) just 3 miles up the road.

As mentioned ^^^^ someone's robbing us, grrrr!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was in France and prices ranged from 61 to 69 Euro cents per litre. Supermarkets were the cheapest (Intermarche).
