I bought a Saab 9000 CSE, to be honest Im not too impressed with the economy of it, 20mpg AT BEST on Gas and near 30mpg on Petrol!

But, even at worst case prices for LPG, it's still half the price of petrol. So your 20 mpg on gas is equivalent cost to 40 mpg on petrol. Not bad for a big comfy barge that will circumnavigate the planet given the opportunity.

As Gilbertd said, nice barge. Mine's a 93 lpt 2.0ltr. I love it and get at least 22mpg, sometimes up to 24. But mine's a sequential injection. Pulls like a train. If it's economy you're after, then something smaller would suit? But nowhere near as much fun or as comfortable. Perhaps you should run it on petrol for a while and compare the difference? Mine gets about 28mpg on the runny stuff.

You will probably find you need to work out your LPG mpg over several fill-ups it is nothing like as exact as brimming a tank with petrol expect it to be 10 to 20% heavier on LPG than petrol.. Interestingly LPG mpg tends to compare more favourable with petrol mpg in urban use than motorway use.

I also think your petrol MPG is more than a tad optimistic 25 to 27 for mixed use would be more generally representative.

Blimey, my old 9k (2.3 fpt) never used to get much more than 20 on petrol. Admittedly it was an auto, but still!
