its been a long time coming
but last couple of weeks because of the price differential ...i did some trips on petrol.
when you look at the figures ............its shows lpg economy is quite good.
so dont base any of your calcs on long trips ...........unless that is all you do.

here's some data
on my car rover 420 with sequential omvl dream
and old car sierra 1.8 running groot open loop mixer
lots of running about ..short trips less than 3 miles..ROVER
petrol mpg 19.5 mpg
lpg..............21.5 mpg (first 500 yards of trip cold on petrol )
long trips without stops
petrol.... 41 mpg
lpg ...........31 mpg
running about short trips etc SIERRA
petrol 22-26 mpg
lpg.........22- 26 mpg
long trips without stops
petrol 35 mpg
lpg ........38 mpg
as you can see open loop on old car.....you got some advantages on the long trip mileage ..
doing some calcs on that lot ...........
you will see roughly my avarage with my 420 (that's between the two extremes long runs and short runs )
is 26 mpg lpg
and 30 mpg petrol.
so it works out just about ok ..im quite pleased with that ...since i dont do lots of long runs it works out great.
all the best.markj
