My car is Group 18 (I think), yet adding an LPG system only bumped up my excess by £200. My insurance premium stayed the same.

Part of this excess increase was due to theft cover (i.e. and additional £1600 worth) and partly due to the increased risk of fire (unlikely, yet you are carrying more flammable material in the car).

Rich

No change with mine. Range Rover 4.0 se auto. Infact it came down by around £150.00 by changing from Churchill to Quoteline Direct, who placed me with Alianz Cornhill. £312.00 fully comp. Just needed a copy of installers certificate.
Steven.
