Fuel costs per mile

Cheapest I can get gas now is 37.9, dearest is 46.9 so I tend to note mpg. 2005 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXi (80bhp Petrol, 74bhp Gas) Koltec Necam Sequential Injection? 5% Rural, 95% Motorway\Dual Carriageway Since new, last June, over 16,000 miles works out at 38mpg or 4.5 pence per mile. For this month it works out at 5.3p but that includes two dear fill-ups.

Hi chaps. Using the power of excel I can tell you that since I started using LPG in my Rover 214SLi (1.4L)in August 2001, it has covered over 50k at an average 4p per mile. (Landi Renzo mixer system) Last month was a pig in terms of travel, stuck in traffic most of the time 6.3p per Litre. Journey is town 80%, motorway/faster road 20%. Martin

I'm currently paying 38.9, and getting low 8's in p/L 80% A road driving, and having fun in my sorts car. but its winter so I'm "on boost" less. 20mpg, 8.8p/L is what I work on then I feel happier with getting more occasionaly than feel bad not hitting my target/budget.

My V8 really is a gas guzzler at 20p per mile <IMG SRC="http://www.my90.co.uk/lpgforum/clipart/sad.gif" ALT=":-(" BORDER=0>. Wonder if I should get the system checked.

8 pence per mile at 40p/litre. Currently paying 41.5p/litre so 8.3 pence per mile. VW Sharan 2l with Zavoli vap, pipe bolted into the intake pipe mixer and Lektron Co.Re.Gas closed loop system. But it has recently caused me problems, so this time I might get £1 a mile! If anyone can help me with setting the mixtures up, I will be obliged<img src="http://www.my90.co.uk/lpgforum/clipart/happy.gif" border=0>

Damian, Yours always did seem a bit high to me. I get 74l for about £32, at the end of the A23 in Brighton (used to be the Q8). That will get me between 176-210 miles. So somewhere between 15.2p to 18.2p per mile or 12.9 to 10.8 mpg. This is for a BRC mixer system in a 1993 Range Rover Vogue SE (all the toys) 3.9l V8. Bro

Around town about 140 miles to 12.5 gallons so roughly 16p per mile. A good motorway run about 190 miles to 12.5 gallons so roughly 10p per mile. Someone might work it out better for me, but I know it costs roughly the same as the diesel Discovery I once had. Range Rover 4.0 auto Gems, OMVL Dream. Steve.

Filled up my car this morning and worked out the cost per mile. Vehicle: 2004 Renault Scenic 1.6 Automatic System installed: BRC Cost of LPG: 47.9 pence per litre (BP). Consumption: 44.94 litres over 257 miles. Driving mix: 30% town, 30% Motorway, 40% A Roads. Cost per mile: 8.4 pence. As the engine starts and is running on petrol until the LPG kicks in, the cost per mile will be slightly higher than the figure given above. I would like to know the cost per mile of running on petrol (or the diesel equivalent), but I have better thing to chuck my money away on!

About 9p/mile currently for me, 20mpg All A road work, some in traffic jams, the rest on boost overtaking cars .....

Hi Mike, BMW still OK then? How many miles on gas now - 70k perhaps? We find very similar results for over 300 converted cars of the following types - Jaguar S3 6 cylinder 4.2 Jaguar 3.2 and 4.0 XJ40 model (cat'd and uncat'd) Jaguar X300 6 cylinder 3.2 and 4.0 Jaguar XJ8 3.2 and 4.0 V8's Surprisingly, all owners of the above converted cars (that report to us) give the same figures, 20p per mile on petrol and 10p per mile on LPG. filled DUCK'S tanks up today,did 210 miles since last fill up.cost £30.32 for 76 ltres so i think that means 14.5 pence a mile. 40% of our journeys are at about 60mph 55% of our journeys are at about 75-80mph 5% is at crawler speed

90 miles a day commute Preston - Manchester - Preston Ave speed 43mph (Traffic always bad) 31000 miles on Gas so far and overall Average 5.3 pence per mile (inc occasional petrol top up) 02 Vectra CDX dualfuel

30% local on mountain lanes /70% loaded at 2.7 tonnes motorhoming around europe on good roads at 50/60 mph ; 2 litre renault average 44p/litre , 12p mile ; no petrol usage normally [ 10 l/annum? ]
