Help with installation instructions

Rightly or wrongly I have bought a used LPG kit off of eBay, with the intention of fitting it to my 1999 "Thor" 4.6 Rover V8 P38 Range Rover.

I'm intending to do the bulk of the install myself and then hopefully only need some support (local garage or fitter etc.) should I hit any issues or to give the system the once over.

Is anyone able to advise on getting some installation instructions? Maybe as a link or pdf file.

The kit was sold as 'complete' and having come from another Range Rover.

Be aware that the Thor engine manifold is better done with nozzles into the lower section, this involves making holes in the webbing of the upper manifold. This gets the nozzles closer to the petrol injector location and prevents them being crossed over (once you get the upper manifold off you will better understand why that can be an issue as the pipes up the top feed two cylinders on each bank per side, the middle ones cross over to the other bank)

Also try to make the injector cuts somewhere that they aren't underneath the manifold - its really awkard to get the mainfold back on if you do as I discovered, if you identify the wiring colours used you should be able to break into the loom further up (having just replaced the wiring from this point to the injectors on mine due to poor condition of the cables). I would also advise you to be aware that the middle two connectors on each bank can end up plugged into the wrong injector (they will fit quite easily and not look wrong!) at least I found mine had been swapped over at some point.

Heh, I remember when I first joined this forum one of my first posts was about the correct position to fit injector nozzles in Thor manifolds (rather than half way up the plenum). At the time every other installer fitted nozzles in the plenum, I made the point that they wouldn't do that on any other vehicle (the usual idea is to fit points of gas entry as close to inlet valves as possible). I got some backlash for making the argument that Thors are best converted by machining holes through the upper plenum to allow injector pipes to pass through, which allowed points of gas entry to be close to the petrol injectors... Other installers reckoned 'they just went with what worked'. I told them they wouldn't do that on any other engine, and they already knew why it wasn't the best idea, so why didn't they recognise my idea as a better way to convert Thors. Since then a lot of installers have gone on to copy my idea.

It is possible to fit (some) single injectors (not necessarily Romano single injectors which I haven't tried it with, but some) between the plenum and the manifold on Thors.. It may be possible to fit the Romano's in that position, if so making for a very neat looking install and very short (another technically good point) pipe lengths between injectors and points of gas entry. But the downside to such setup (which I've done on some similar design plenum over manifold engines) is that access to injectors then involves removing the plenum.
