I have a LPG BRC built into my vehicle and noticed this bracket. It seems to protect the tube going through it from what I can see. The issue I have is the clearances I rather it not be there at all as theres plenty of humps where I live and occasionally it will rub.

Is there a way to remove this and re-route the tube going through it? Is it necessary or have any other needs? Does it hold the tank down?

fyi the coilovers are at its highest so you can see in the image and yes I am aware of the rust

I'm not so knowledgeable regard to LPG so I joined this forum so I'm reaching out for advice. Thanks.

From the size of the bolts it looks like they are the ones that secure the tank too so it is acting as a spreader. It will also act as the vent in case the tank leaks or the pressure relief valve opens for any reason. The rules, and common sense, say the pipes should be protected against damage and that is what it is doing, although it does look like it is running across the car rather than in line with movement.

It looks like you have a toroidal tank with the pipes coming out of the centre so they can't be routed anywhere else. If it were me and it was being clouted on speed bumps, I'd make up a larger skid plate to protect it and the pipework.
