Dual tank layout opinions
Hi guys I've removed all my lpg tanks etc apart from the front end and would like to know if this is the correct layout. Thanks.

Re: Dual tank layout opinions
Out of interest, what tanks did you go with?
Re: Dual tank layout opinions

What's the range of the x2 tanks, or why go dual tank?Bone9 wrote: Sun Sep 25, 2022 5:36 pm Hi guys I've removed all my lpg tanks etc apart from the front end and would like to know if this is the correct layout. Thanks.

Re: Dual tank layout opinions
I get around 300 from a 160litre cylinder in the boot (that fills to around 110 litres usually from empty), Same vehicle though mine is a few years older. Its a pain having very little bootspace though.
Re: Dual tank layout opinions
So my tanks combined are 60l. Can't remember the fill capacity off the top of my head but it seams I'm getting better mpg to you. Are you modified?

Re: Dual tank layout opinions
Modified in what way? If you mean remapped then no? I've recently had to replace the petrol ECU has the old one stopped firing 4 petrol injectors, it actually seems to be driving better now having done so than it did before.
If your tanks fill to 80% then you should get around 48 litres at a fill. would work out around 0.3l of gas to a mile
Mine works out around 0.4 so is a bit worse, though that might reflect different driving conditions anyway?

For off road etc Yes possibly I need to get it all back on and check my latest figures.

Re: Dual tank layout opinions
No mines pretty much standard except the tyres are slightly bigger than they should be (one size bigger on the profile than the standard spec, and thats only because they were wrong when I got the car in the first place), and its on springs on the back instead of airbags (there isn't enough of the system there to put it back to how it should be unfortunately) I've rechecked and with 110 litres fill it works out at .036 litres per mile not 0.4 so its not far off. It may also indicate your engine is in better health than mine possibly!
Re: Dual tank layout opinions
I have done lots of work to my engine, heads skimmed, valves seats and valves redone, new cam, new pushrods and lifters, new cam chain and sprockets etc.
