LPG below 60p

Well that's a first for me! Our local ASDA is selling at 59.7 which was a nice surprise. I was expecting it to go up again at this time of year but it seems that the low oil price and attention from the government is having the opposite effect.
Long may it last!

I've seen it @59.9. Which is ace. Makes it less than half price ..

I had one of my customers in from Solihull the other day he said it was 52.
Hope some people convert their cars now. Being terrible slow this month so far.

Xmas though isn't it. Everyone's spending the money on pressies.

I sometimes wonder if I should change jobs and do something more fun like mechanics.
:)

Oh its okay. I found it. Pershore road. The Gas Station.

I actually asked the LPG places round by me where their gas comes from. They just said they pipe it in from normal gas lines.
Then pay the duty on it as they sell it.

Makes me wonder if I can get something like that at home... lol

Mostly > 64p round here....
Other side of town has 60p (59.7) but thats the exception to the rule.

The painfully slow, rusty, noisey, elderly and misted up local Country Wide pump has died.
This caused me to buy at local garage and realise I'm paying far too much for Country Wide LPG.

I've asked CW for a price review and am waiting for a call back.

Unless the CW pre-vat price drops to below 50p, its time to start waiting for the dizzy tart - male or female (who parks on lpg pump whilst standing in the petrol station reading 'Hello' or 'GQ' for 10 minutes) to get out of the way and let a paying customer through. At least I'll be able to keep dry whilst filling up though.

Didn't pay proper attention - didn't see price dropping and now feel ripped off by CW who have been my main supplier for years.

The price everywhere seems to be dropping - the local stations to me are currently 65.9 with the motorway services 66.9. Previous to this the motorway services have had that price for around 6 months now and were cheapest close to me for some time.

Seen it out and about cheaper though - Birmingham being the cheapest i've seen with the added advantage of not having to wait for someone to dither about in the shop after managing to cover the forecourt in diesel spills!

Even manged to find a new station not on the website today which is rare now!

What i did mean to say above and forgot - Alot of the bp stations i've seen around seem to be either converting to flogas pumps or pulling lpg out - the one in Hemel has gone, Childery gate has gone, Northampton services on the north bound side has gone, M6 Stafford and the one on the north circular has been broken for ages amongst others so i do wonder if theres some change due on that. The good news being most of the flogas supplied ones seem to be the cheaper ones.

Just had a call back from Country Wide.

They have shaved a tiny amount of the price so its now 61.2p (51p + vat)

So no more slow noisey wet CW pumps for me - back to main stream garages until the price increases.

Not sure if I'm ready to return the key - reclaim my £5 and close the account yet though... will review middle 2015

My local place (bp garage, 3 mile cross) is 59.9p, but they operate a stamp card so for each fill they give you an additional 1p off your next, upto a max of 10p. So averaging out at 55p/l at the moment.

57.7p at Asda York this lunchtime. Less bothered that my current car isn't as efficient as my previous one now :)

How about some aid for the South? How much gas can you smuggle over the border in one go?

At Least LPG is following recent petrol prices despite this being the time of year that pushes LPG prices up.

Still only just dropped to 64.9 near me.
