KME Gold reducer leaking when cold
Anybody have experience of this? I have noticed a smell of gas in the mornings for a few minutes, I had the bonnet up the other morning checking coolant level and started the engine and the reducer leaked quite heavily for a few seconds before stopping, looks to be coming from the solenoid valve area
Any hints or tips appreciated

Sounds like it is venting, possibly due to gummy innards

Is this a pressure relief thing? I removed the solenoid today and it looked like there was some residue around it so refitted it with some gasket sealer on the O ring.
Will have to take it out to find the vent, its pretty tight

I don't know where the PRV is on those, between the water elbows perhaps. Sure it must have one for E-marking
Rubber hose joints can leak or not with temperature changes
It's best to assemble without sealer, propane is a good solvent, and use new o-rings as required.

I could not find a vent on the reducer, and since refitting the valve with sealer it doesnt seem to be leaking.
But now I have lost pressure, from 1.0 bar down to 0,50
Adjusting the reg does not affect the pressures, system is 12 months old, 20,000 miles could the filters be blocked?
Another problem I had recently was the reducer leaking coolant from the main seal, highest one in the pic above, ive tightened the bolts since, could it be related?

I'm suprised there is no PRV, that's a bit scary really. But obviously not your problem if its not there...
Seeing something like 0.5bar is usually indicative of total pressure loss - failed solenoid, empty tank etc. (you see the difference between atmospheric and MAP)

I removed the filter cover this morning and not much gas came out really, bit of a whoosh but not streaming like you would expect, the filter is clean

Seems its most likely the solenoid coil, runs ok on gas until the engine heats up to normal running temp, then it switches back to petrol.
The valve itself is clean and looks ok, but I cant feel it clicking when switching over

I'm confused. It runs okay on gas from cold with no pressure, but then fails? (Are you sure it starts on gas from cold?)

Changed solenoid coil and its now fine, the coil seemed to be working when cold but failed when warm.
Starts on petrol and switches over at 20°C and ran OK until the engine/rest of the engine bay got up to running temp which is 104°C on mine!
When I had the laptop plugged in to read the pressures the engine was still hot as id not long got home and the coil had already stopped working
