After many motorway miles in the last year at 4000rpm (indicated 80)the oil pump decided to fail and wrecked the engine, its been a good car 5 years and 80 thou on lpg. Could'nt replace the engine as they have to come out underneath and have not got the time. I needed a vehicle quickly and brought a diesel Seat to cope less stressed with the motorway speeds for the last 4 months. Its as cheap as gas on the motorway but drinks it around town. Dont like it really
Never fear though self employment beckons suddenly and I have a rare petrol astra van now which I am going to fit a gas kit to. Indulging story to follow.
My lpg Zafira is no more.

Sorry to hear of the sudden engine failure on the Zafira.
I had one blow a hole a in piston sometime back. I managed to change the engine by taking it out the top no problem.
EDIT: Ah no scratch that ... I remember now, I striped the engine down in my home garage and once I had found the root cause of the problem (broken piston), I sourced a replacement engine and then had the car towed to my brother-in-laws garage, where I used a proper four post ramp to put the replacement engine in from underneath.
I had one blow a hole a in piston sometime back. I managed to change the engine by taking it out the top no problem.

Two years without my lpg car now and I would just like to say that the replacement, a Seat diesel, is really pants. Thirsty and loud.
I still get some practice on lpg as the Outander my wife has played up lately. Multiple random misfire codes and top lamba sensor code led me astray and in the wrong direction and me too tight to go to a pro (I did have the system professionally installed so not too tight).
A tin of mass air sensor cleaner has cleared up the fault eventually. A little tricky to trace as there was no problem on petrol at first which you would have expected with a dirty maf. It just goes to prove how sensitive lpg is to any issue.
