Anyone else with LPG Tech?

I was wondering, is there anyone else who has an LPG tech system as I just bought a car with it and i'm finding there's very little in terms of online information about LPG tech systems, i know they're far from being the most popular and are considered one of the cheapest. But i'm making do with what i've got and was hoping to find out who else has got the same system as me....

You could go on a training course in Birmingham on Thursday this week if you want. You get a certificate to prove you are competent to install and operate said kit.
Prestige LPG. Kicks off at 9. Fully trained by 3 !

Long time ago I went for lpg training with tinley tech ..
done this because was intresting how they training in uk ...9 a clock starts 4 clock finish..
just must bring to them my car wich I converted that they must be happy with my conversion..
car on wich we have training funny but conversion was done in one day the guy says they just replaced new
Engine thats why it looks rubish..
I buy few things from tinley tech good service will give advise if needs. .
but bigas system wich they use I didn't like..

I fancied popping along myself for a look its only in Birmingham, but I've got too much on this week. Bit shit though, I only got the email at 9.47 this morning, and it's for Thursday ? That's not really enough time to get anything sorted to go. If it had been for next Thursday i might have gone. But 2 clear days notice doesn't really cut it with me. I mean, I'm always happy to have a look at different systems, ask questions and basically be a pain in the arse, especially if there is lunch laid on.
But I can't clear my diary at the drop of a hat in order to do it

bigas system wich they use I didn't like..

Has to be said though, the only first gen gas injection systems I see occasionally nowadays happen to be bigas. Don't see any first gen Romano, omvl or zavoli.
So it has to say something positive for them. I've got some incredibly high mileage bigas systems out there on chauffeur cars and airport transfer motors, and they don't give a peep of trouble. All well out of warranty. But I still see them for filters and the like.
And that bigas m84 is a rock solid single point reducer. I don't think they make bad kit tbh. I've been fitting bigas stuff for a very, very long time, before Tinley tech where in business and two italian chaps called Fabio and Fernando used to come over from Italy with a people carrier full of kits, and we used to buy off them in lire ! Shows how long ago that was eh !

Im trying out an LPGTech kit at the moment. Just got wiring to do.

The Leciester guys are indeed really helpful, it's on their recommendation that I'm trying it out.

Will let you know what I think of it once it's done.

So whose doing along to this training on Thursday in Birmingham ?

I 'may' be going. Luckily the chap who dropped his motor today doesn't want it back till Tuesday next week. So dependent in how I get on with this BMW. I might be able to have a day off the tools.

You know what I actually quite like the LPG Tech system.

I've installed, Stag, King, OMVL and Agis systems previously, out all these I'm happy to carry on with LPG Tech for any future installs I do.

You say the LPG Tech kits are cheap but what comprises of a kit, ECU, wiring, pressure sensor, some temp sensors, a few connectors, a reducer and some injectors.
You can choose any reducer you like and the LPGTech is compatible with a very wide range of injectors. So the ECU maybe a few pounds cheaper than others but the rest of the kit, the reducer and injectors you can pick whatever quality you want.

So if you chose to you can pick a cheap reducer and cheap injectors, you'll end up with a cheap and cheerful system. If you chose a quality reducer that is easily upto delivering the gas output required for the car in question and quality injectors then you'll end up with a top notch system.

LPG Tech are fairly new in the market, so in order to get a foot hold into the market have to price their kits competitively. Also unlike a lot of the other LPG companies they are still continuing to develop there ECUs, software and firmware.

I would say for a novice installer the LPGTech kit is a good choice, the temp sensor is built into the pressure sensor, saving additional wiring, you don't even need a T for the vacuum pipe, just from vacuum point into the pressure sensor, and from the other side of the pressure sensor onto the regulator. Its really easy to do an really tidy install.

Jdavies986, how are you getting on with your system ? If you need to know anything feel free to ask away.

Alternatively, contact the LPGShop guys in Leicester who sell the LPG Tech kit (as mentioned previously) as they are indeed very helpful.

Isn't that running the risk of the temperature measured in this 'dead end' not being representative of the gas flowing to the injectors? Don't know how much of a problem this could be in practice though.

It's not a "dead end", the combined "temp sensor/pressure sensor/vacuum T" sits in between the vapour filter and the injectors. So it will be measuring the temp of the gas passing through it on it's way to the injectors.

Ah, sorry - my mistake. I was visualising something like the AEB vacuum/pressure sensor with a temperature sensor built in

That's ok Mat, no need to say sorry, I hadn't actually stated in my first post that the pressure sensor sat on the vapour line, so I can understand your confusion.

I also forgot to mention that the LPGTech ecu comes with a 5 year warranty.
