LPG Discussion Forum

Hi guys

I have a Jeep Cherokee 3.7L V6 on its way in the next week or so and want to get it done with a decent fitter.... having read through the forum the last few days it seems the good guys are in a minority!
I'm based in W London but will travel as far as necessary to get a good install/give my money to someone who deserves it!

Any thoughts or suggestions will be very welcome. Thanks in advance

I have had two conversions done by ernigrip motors in Oxfordshire ,they have been converting for 23 years and the guys are really helpful.they fit decent kits and one of my conversions did 160000mls no problem.the added benefit with them is that is that at least one if not two of there mechanics are bosch master techs and really know how the cars work. try them I am not saying they are the best but they have allways looked after me I travel to them from Wiltshire ,hope this helps

23 years ? I started in 1997. And trust me. There where very few converters about back then. Everything was in Italian. And I think jaymic where pretty much the first supplier in the UK. And they certainly weren't about 23 years ago. The only people interested when I started where taxi drivers. And the odd greeny.

The cynic in me did wonder at the single post!

and if they've been in business that long, how come we've never heard them mentioned on here before?

The name does ring a bell but the website does not add up.

They are offering cut price conversions so if you had asked for cheap and cheerfull the answer would have been reasonable.

Just so that you are aware the V6 does need flashlube

If I lived in Wiltshire I doubt I'd be travelling outside the county to see an LPG specialist...

thanks for the feedback but my facts are correct the garage i use ernigrip have been in buisness for 23 yrs the guy that owns the place has trained in europe and was originally taught by landi renzo i called them to confirm this and that is what there reception told me and that they were originally working with landi renzo on the rover factory conversions i am only giving you the facts they have given me and trying to be helpfull hope this helps

I have actualy spoken to then myself. Like I said I have heard of them before but other than that knew very little.

Original LPG training was done in New Zealand and they then moved back over here installing with Landi and as time has gone by other systems have been used. The setting up in new Zealand explains the 23 years of installing

LPG is only part of the business and most of the work is diagnostics etc.

As with any other installer you are interested in using, drop in for a vist have a look at their conversions and make up your own mind
