LPG Fitter for Porsche Cayenne Turbo

Hi all

We currently have a 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S that we are looking at converting to LPG and I would just like a few questions answering if possible please.

1) Is there a specific kit I should be looking at for this car? I've heard Prins are one of the best kits around and should be what I am looking at, is this true?

2) Can anyone recommend an installer around the Yorkshire area that would be capable of carrying out this work as I've read that the Turbo models are more complex to convert.

3) Does anyone on here have or know someone that has an LPGd Turbo that they can provide some feedback on

4) What sort of price should I be looking at ?

I've spoken to two local installers so far one (http://www.agisautogas.co.uk/index.html) quoted from £1200-£1500 and uses Italian equipment and the other is Green Automotive Systems (http://www.lpggasconversionsyorkshire.co.uk/) who quoted around £2500 using a Prins kit and recommended using Flashlube. Can anyone vouch for either of these companies?

Got yourself into a minefield there !
Agis look like a polish company trying to flog you accountancy services.
The other place looks like a garage who do a bit of LPG on the side. And I've never heard of omcl, surely omvl. Hate typo's ! Puts me right off.
Ive done a few, they need a Flashlube, electronic multipoint variety, and they are tricky to get just right. Space is tight, reducers have to be tucked up in inner wing skin's and all sorts.
My advice is, find someone who has done one, it doesn't have to be prins. There are a lot better systems on the market that are far more technologically advanced and return considerably better mpg for the end user at a cheaper initial outlay. Generally Italian.

Done a couple and they are a bit of a pain to do but once you have sussed them out they are not so bad. They do need to be mapped spot on or you will get all sorts of running problems and poor starting.

As Tubbs pointed out use a installer who has done them before and you would be best off using something better than Prins

So there you are. 2 installers who have done a few. And have exactly the same advice. But. In all honesty. Once they are right they run ever so well. Good tuning and installation is the key. Look for a trustworthy installer who will solve any problems. That's the best advice.

First one I did came back twice for some tweaks. Starting was the main problem where the fuel trims gradualy drifted out. Also a couple of other minor niggles that needed looking at.
