gas temp sensor

hi all would a gas leak resulting in a frozen gas temp sensor,make the sensor inoperable esgi2

Not of itself; very cold wires might be more prone to break.

On the ESGI, it's not uncommon to find the correct temperature sensor type has not been selected in software.

thanks rossko just been working on the car this is the same car as my other blog(merc e240 wont switch to gas)I could switch over with my software but not my manual switch,until I noticed that if I press the switch and then lightly press it again it would switchover faulty switch do you think?
