Wallet rape!

#1 Post by Morat »

I just stopped at my local LPG station and they've put the price from 74.9ppl (which was bad enough) to 94.9ppl. Sod that!
Asda, here we come :/ I'm not supporting the local station at that price.

Jeez! I'll be keeping an eye on that. That sort of jump all round would make in unfeasible to switch to LPG for me.

I think it must be a mistake or they want to get rid of LPG and have put the price up so high that they can justify getting rid as nobody buys it. What is it, an independent garage?

I've come across the same stupid price at the gulf garage in wakefield a few months back. although there it was 99.9/l. I've paid considerably less when i was up in Inverness where i'd expect it to be more! Theres currently 11 stations showing prices over 90p/l on filllpg.co.uk

What made Wakefield's price even more stupid is the price at Morrisons on the other side of town was 69.9 at the time.....

69.9 is a pretty standard figure around here. But i will look out for stupid price hikes. I paid .89 on the services on new years day. I only put £20 in to get home

I'd boycott the, but also put in written complaints - find out if they have an area manager and write a letter asking for a response - also if they have a national office contact them too. If knowone with any influence knows, nothing can get done.

I complained to Asda head office after their pump was out of action for 2 weeks - ended up getting a call from the store apologising and an email from some central team somewhere in head office. Was fixed next week. They told me they had looked into the loss of income and they agreed that not only was it a teribble customer experience, but they were losing a significant amount of income from LPG so had two reasons to get it fixed. Funnily - no other customer had complained about it, they just went elsewhere.

Also a good reason to enter notes on filllpg.co.uk when your updating prices!

They've done the same with super unleaded too - interestingly their sign only displays prices for Unleaded and Diesel.
It was a Gulf a few years back but is now independent.
