Open loop, Peirburg twin choke, single or dual valve mixer ?

Hi all,
Just wondering, Vehicle = 1989 VW flat 4 water cooled camper van.
I currently have a twin "power valve" setup, one pipe feeding the primary choke and the other the secondary choke on the single twin choke Pierburg carb fitted.
Might a single valve 2 outlet unit be easier to set up and be better ?
I ask because the current twin valve unit is tricky to set up properly in a "diy" situation.

A propper Y adjuster should only have a single adjuster. If you have a crappy one with 2 adjusters you would be better off changing it for a single adjuster type.

Mines got the twin powervalve setup too but as they are both set the same (or near as) i might as well just have one with a Y after it.

Do you mean the same as in the same amount open from fully closed (per valve) ?
How did you get this setting ?
I am going to swap (next week) to a single valve setup purely because I can "empirically" set that up, but with the vacuum controlled second choke on the Pierburg I cannot get a way of establishing an "across the board" setting I can trust unless monitoring it under real driving conditions. Ideally I would like to get a broadband lambda afr type setup to monitor / adjust this, but I cannot justify the cost

The two valves are open the same amount from fully closed.
I think its still going weak at full throttle under load (when the secondary choke opens) though but i can't seem to do anything about that.
Gonna be fitting an AGG golf engine with full sequential injection at some point this year though.
