Newbie with LPG questions re lexus LS400

Hi there all, Newbie with some questions if that okay.
I have a Rover 75 CDT Tourer because its cheap to run. I also have a 1993 Lexus LS400 that I would use instead if it were cheaper to run. Im short of cash so cannot afford to waste any money.
What i need to know is;
1. an LPG installer just outside lancaster says that he can cnvert the LS for £900. I know nothing about him. Should i be sorried/
2. the LS on petrol will average 27mpg. Ive heard and read wildley different acconts about what I can expect from LPG. What do you think I will get on gas?
3. Im told that a non-sequencial system will be okay on my car and thats why it will only cost c£900. Is that right?

PS; teh LS has done 185k miles but is sound and well looked after.

While not ideal, a 93 should run OK on a single point system (in fact the post below yours if from someone running a single point system on an older Lexus) and should give something in the region of 22-23mpg on gas.

Thanks for the reply. I have been reading the other thread. Its very interesting.
22-23 is what I was hoping for as a minimum as that would be almost as cheap to run as the Rover (Rover 75s are nice cars but they are not a Lexus). I guess thats about 15% less efficient than petrol. Is that about normal?

I have done them on an old single point system and they do run very well. But they still have issues with valve seat recession. So make sure they fit a flashlube. Its funny, i havent fitted a single point unit for a good while. But i dont think they are considerably cheaper than a gas injection system. When you take into consideration. The back end £200 easy. Front end mixer £20, leo £100, decent reducer £90 ?
2x 4 cylinder emulators got to be another £50, not that ive bought any for years. Then you got pipe, a flashlube, tees, vapour hose, p clips etc..unless im missing something thats £500 maybe £580 with vat and postage. I cant just cant see how people can do these kind of conversions for £900.
Not that i have priced one up for a while. Ok so open loop, injection changeover switch, cut the fuel injection positive and relay out the check engine light ? But its not a very nice way of doing it is it ?
Economy wise, expect to loose at least 20%, open loop maybe 25. Injection system as little as 10 % ? Depends on the miles you plan to do really i suppose....
