LPG Prices - Concerns
Certainly looks like it Tony.

Ah well, that's one informant I won't have to pay...!

Hi
I can confirm the pipe line is for LNG - liquefied natural gas.
Its going through a field about 100M from my business premises, we have had dozens of people, asking questions, compensation for the land lord, studying the hedges, poddling around in the pond looking for newts, testing the water, etc, etc.

Richard.

Richard.

Hang on a sec. How can LPG prices have 'settled down'?!

Morrisons in liverpool charges 39.9. Calor gas charges 38.9 and another place charges 34-36p. Fast forward to closed BP charging 48.9.

I don't call that 'settled down' I call that rigged. Additionally, the price of LPG from BP will never be rigged to be half the price of petrol at all. That makes no sense. Surely LPG should be priced on prevailing market conditions and from the examples above, BP certainly aren't following that strategy. You may be getting confused by the point that the tax differential is set to stay half that of petrol until 2009. That still means that the base cost of LPG at the bump can be rigged like a bugger by BP...and guess what...it is rigged like a bugger.

Whoops that should have read closest. Also, I think BP are simply using LPG as a bit of a cash cow to gain profit as competition for the fuel at service stations neighbouring theirs is probably quite scarce leaving them to be a little more competitive on other fuels (which are still over priced)

Indicators point to a rise in Diesel and unleaded prices in the next few weeks - Some happening over the next few days and more literally in the pipeine. Diesel will break £1 litre first, petrol following.

Hold tight people!

Did I hear correctly that Ken of the Livingstone type is ramping up 'congestion' charges to £25 for 4x4?

Diesel at BP on the A1 in Herts is 101.9p/l.
LPG at the same station is 48.9p.

I don't buy mine there, a few miles further down there is a Tesco selling at 40.9.

LPG Prices - Concerns
I'm interested in the way the fuel companies can justify the LPG prices staying the same when all the petrol/diesel prices have dropped now after the drop in crude prices. Any ideas??
