easiest is to ask someone who done it before :)

Anyway guys, THANKS to All,

its officially running on LPG. Had a run around and got on motorway, all running smooth, had an issue with changover, but tested with laptop and quickly figure out that 1st and 2nd lpg injectors plugs swapped. Now changes as should. Just finished putting all covers back on, got to fabricate brackets for the tank now, and fix the compressor, and that is it.

Gents, question,

what would happen if I would swap the lambda cables- bank1 bank 2. say its a bank 1 but I connected to bank 2?

OBD throws - lean fuel Bank 2.

You'd end up with a system that goes round in ever decreasing circles until it disappears up it's own..... Think about it, if you've got them swapped and bank 1 is running lean and bank 2 is OK, the lambda sensor on bank 1 will say everything is fine but the one on bank 2 will say it's lean. So the ECU will richen bank 2 but it won't have any effect so it will richen it even more but it still won't have any effect. You'd end up with bank 1 still running lean and bank 2 running stupidly rich.

This assumes the lambda sensors are doing any controlling and not just connected for the convenience of being able to see what is going on. In this case, it would have no effect other than confusing you.

That is what I thought, so it idles ok, but under harder acceleration it thows a code- and always same, then its probably swapped lamba wires, right?

Dunno. The lambdas should be controlling the petrol system so unless you've disconnected the plugs from the cars loom and swapped them over, they won't be reversed.

Did you cut the lambda's or just tee off them?

Just wondering if one of them has come off causing the petrol ecu to change the one bank...

Folks might want to know what code exactly.
It's pretty unlikely though, why would you or anyone else have swapped wires over?
If you've made the lambda connections to the gas system, why not use them as intended and observe what they actually tell you at the time of failure?

I will check that code exactly, then I say swapped wires over I mean I had 2 wires from BRC ecu, so I tee into pins 15,16. but on the yellow wires from gas ecu I dont know which is which.

so to my understanding if I connected them wrongly- yellow 1 to bank 2 and yellow 2 to bank 1, then it would adjust itself but would make that bank2 leaner. That make sense to me, but Im not 100 sure how the Ecu react on lambdas. so if it adjust itself from reading, then this is probably right.

I could observe, but I just made a map yesterday evening, then had to sort the gas leak today, and now got to finish this. So it need fine tuning, but comon, I just filled the tank first time today.

I will re-solder the lambda connections in a second, so will know if thats was the problem..

if you have tee'd off and not cut them, then the lambda connections being reverse to the lpg ecu will make no difference.

The lpg ecu doesn't use the lambda's.

I just came back from the spirited driving. And there is no codes anymore. The engine light is not coming up anymore, as I didnt change anything else apart from re-soldering lambda wires- Ecu reads and adjust banks. At least my opinion that it doing it.

I was driving this afternoon, and had to reset the engine light twice. once after sorting the leak out, second after filling full tank. Now had a good acceleration and it was all perfect. Got a smile on my face now how good it runs :)

the code for the lean fuel has gone.

But the code P0130 - Sensor Circuit Multifunction come up today on the changeover.... Hmmm( this was coming up together with lean fuel before.

I wonder how the ECU tells the difference between a sensor saying lean for a long time and a sensor that is broken....
I would say you are looking at exactly the same problem, swapping wires did not make it go away.
Time for you to make some real observations of trim behaviour and lambda under load.

Possible.

But the code for lean fuel is not coming up anymore. Sure should be some explanation why?

So what is the Sensor circuit Multifunction? you saying this is exactly same lambda?

It's saying there is some behaviour of the lambda it doesn't like. Google it.
It'd be smart to investigate what it does on both fuels, and since you've gone to the trouble of wiring it up to LPG it should be easy. Armchair diagnostics won't get you far.

Rossko, what would be your blind guess why its throwing this code? 02 sensor bank1 multifunction...just an idea? What should I look at again? LPG pipes to injectors? swap rails and see if its come back on same bank?
Could this be related to air? as I have that air induction kit,...
I didnt get a chance to observe lambda reading, and to be honest it wont tell me much, as I just cant read it :)

I was right of swapping ecu lambda cables as on BRC program it used to pop up as bank 2 lean fuel, but on code reader it comes as fault on bank 1

Now from start, £50 worth of petrol would give me 100miles, now £50 of LPG gets me 190 miles, so very happy here.

It starts and drives perfectly, it switches over to LPG quicker then merc used to switch(same brc 56),

Thanks in advance

Practice.

Try it on petrol - when you give it lots of welly, you should see both lambda sensors go rich and stay rich for the duration of the drag race. The manufacturers set up the petrol system to go slightly rich for maximum power.

Once happy with that, repeat the drag race on LPG, hoping to see the same thing. My blind guess is that it will not be the same.

Swap parts if you like, but better to see a repeatable symptom before doing anything, so that you can verify the effect of any changes as they are made.

It's telling you that bank 1 O2 sensor is giving reading it doesn't believe. That means that it's broke so giving no output, it's disconnected so giving no output or that bank is running so lean it's never giving an output. You can check with a multimeter to see if there is an output from it, compare the two and see if they are the same. Check your wiring too and make sure you haven't pulled a wire out.

Just to let you know, I dont have any problems running on petrol, no faults throwing. so for that reason my guess its not a faulty lambda...

Guys, hows everyone?

little update just for the record, as it was quite weird to figure out. Maybe will be useful for someone as its pure experience.

I had an EML on, throwing o2 sensor fault. OBD reading shows all lambdas running- voltage constantly changing, but lambda 1 showing 0.00v....

now I check the reading where I teed into ECU wires (15-16pins) and on one got the reading, on second- 0.00v. so no voltage whatsoever.
went under the car and checked the wires on both lambdas, both white wires get me nice 12-13.8v coming to heater. and black wire gave me the output I was looking for, on both. so both running but loosing signal somewhere.

at that point I was like WTF is going on... went to ECU and cut bank 1 yellow wire away from ecu, and got the reading back on..so one of the yellow wires from 56 fcuked up..second one still ok, and gives me the reading on laptop.

By the way, took it to south of France all the way on LPG, running sweet. We calculated at the end, as I was followed by VW transporter 07reg, diesel, and it used same amount of Sterling's for L322 and Transporter. Not bad.
