Ok update..
Wich is bad..
Get new second hand dme and cas/ews ecu.fitted car wont start but it crank.no petrol injection ..so i have bmw icom conected to car faults are wrong chasis number in most ecus like lm.sim.gzm........etc..
still have old chasis number in rest ecu..
So problem who or where i can find who can remove old chasis number from few ecu...
Give call to local bmw but they wonna replace with virgin ecu so total price 3500 pounds..
My bmw icom cant get accses to change vin number...
So boys do you know anyone who cant do this or some software?

You can do it with the launch diagun, autel maxidas or auto logic. But I think that's about all of them that will give you that kind of level of access.
Or you could SPEAK TO ALL CAR ELECTRONICS.
They could reflash all the ecu's over with the chassis number.

didn't know the autel maxidas could code on the BMW will have to look into that, last time I hooked my 708 to my bmw there was alot of information but not clearly as much as inpa, if the autel is capable is the autocom / multi diag upto the job? I found most of what the DS708 can do is replicated in autocom / multi diag being in liverpool devon is a little far to travel to see if I could help

i rang all car electronics,,they cant do bmw because when it get faulty he stores in some microchip info that is faulty,,and when they transfer info to other ecu it goes with fault memory wich do not let start the car,,,,,

so diging more order inpa sss wnkpf for bmw there is some option removing vin from some modules,but ....not sure...
looks like if any ecu broke down on newer bmw its pain.......

After try to fix ecu in couple places without suscces.
And a lot phone calls..looks like bmw dme nobody cant fix in uk..get tubbs advise call his polish mate.but same nobody touch car ecus..get few more numbers but nothing...
Decide to buy second hand set of ecu"s keys .dme.lm module after ecu arrive discovered that its car ecu is diferent from car key ecu ..so send it back..
Get one more set of ecus but that become more strange.
Labels on dme ecu chasis number was same as numbers on key ecu.. its call cas ecu or ews..looks ok but when try start car car didnt fire .check with diagnostics ...big shock chassis number in dme do not match chasis number on key ecu..but labels with chasis number are same....looks like some one try some how update or change chasis number in dme ecu...
So after many conversations with my custumer and no succes ge give me 2 days i make run his car or buy from him..
Than i check ebay found dirty cheap bmw 735 3200 pounds.. 111miles on the clock big 20 inch wheels company car one owner...put offer and i become owner..
Last nigth went to birmingham this morning take ecu out put in custumers car start with no problem..
Just bad idle no power valve gear guide sensor faulty but that fault was before lpg conversion..
so need fix running issues and im free...forgot ..owner of bmw 735 as well...will get ecu for this one and put on the road...for now most important thing make custumers car running

A customer of mine may be scrapping his BMW 7 series, has been told by a BMW dealership that 'all the electrics are knacked'. I can't remember the year or if it's a 728, 730 or 735, I know it still drives and most of the electrics still work, so I don't know if the dealers have interpreted a problem with the can bus as 'all electrics knacked'...

I mention it in case there are any electrical parts you think you'd be interested in - probably not the engine ECU if yours is a V8 and this is a straight 6, but I don't know if it is the engine ECU you're still having problems with?

there's a guy on ebay UK (autovera-bmw)live in PANEVEZYS,Lithuania he brakes E65 7 series BMW's, fairly reasonable price's, if you need help with DME and matching ecu's, maybe worth getting in touch with him ?

Hey hey me again

So after try fix exentric shaft sensor found piece of silicone in the sensor...problem fixed..
Next inlet and exhaust camshaft sensor faults that takes some times to find why i get codes short circuit to ground.or short circuit to positive..
Hard to believe but when i look thru camshaft sensor hole in to engine i cant see on exhaust camshaft thing wich rotates next to camshaft...
The bmw engine was rebuild not long time ago when i ask custumer..
They forgot to fit reluctor wich goes end of camshaft..
Order one from bmw 20pounds.removed rocker cover fit reluctor..job done..
Next no fault codes any more...but engine idle bad..
Again diging ..reset all adaptations on car ...no joy..than find adjustments on minimum valve gear lift two choices 0.30mm or 0.80mm. In cars dme memory was 0.30mm but dme from other car decide to change to 0.80mm and big surprise car idle like baby...
Looks like i becoming bmw mechanic...

Quite a few stresses involved fixing that car eh Well done again Tomas! I reckon you'd put most BMW mechanics to shame, for the work and bits you've put into that a BMW dealership would've charged £thousands.. The BMW I mentioned is still in the yard, a main dealer couldn't fix it and simply explained 'all the electrics are f%^%^%'.. Something I very much doubt but I wasn't tasked with fixing it or looking into the problems, only tasked to remove the LPG system and fit it on a newer Merc. The BMW drives OK but has airbag warnings, wiper warnings, warnings for just about everything flashing up! Owner is putting it through auction.

Now i know why so many insurance write offs go from our auction houses to Poland etc. You guys have the tenacity to stick with it. We just throw it away. Well done.
