BMW 330i which system is best?

What year BMW are you thinking of converting ?

There are a number of good systems you can choose from.
The Europegas premium system would be my recommendation but you could also go with systems like KME or some of the AEB based systems.

If you have a valvetronic engine then AEB does seem the better system and the best injectors I would say are hana or AEB combined with a suitable reducer. Some installers have also had good results with systems like KME

2001 should not prove any hassle to any experienced converter. I convert them using an aeb based system. However injector inlet placement is wholly critical. I charge £1175 all inclusive for a BMW.
Best LPG mileage so far is a whopping 290k. And I've only ever seen it for a few simple services.
Lots and lots have been converted by all of us installers. Generally very trouble free.

I've found that the make of the kit is less important than the knowledge/experience of the installer.

hello my 330i has a brc system installed it is a good system no issues drive fine just don't a trip from graves end kent to Doncaster 175 ish miles for £20 of gas not bad for a 3litre car

tanks come in all shapes and sizes, so when asking this you can get different answers due to amount held...!

Historically bmw's of that era seem to do in the region of 5-7% less than petrol mileage if properly tuned of course. So if you work on a -10% of petrol figures you won't be far off.

On my E46 330 touring there's a 74litre 4 hole toroidal tank in the wheel well which gives a usable volume of about 60l (I think the most I've ever filled it with is 62l). Best range I've had is 340 miles on a motorway run, and I tend to fill it up once a week at about 250 miles when thrashing it round country roads. Those fills are usually about 55l. The tank is slightly oversize and pushes the boot floor up about 10mm at the back but the dogs don't seem to mind

The reason the injector placement is so critical is that the idle control valve supplies a separate, direct to port inlet tract. This separate tract is used for idle and small throttle openings for loads <15%. Thus at idel and low loads there is no airflow in the inlet manifold to carry the LPG to the cylinder. There's a diagram of the inlet on the forum somewhere, I think it's regarding a BMW E36 328i conversion, the thread is approximately 30 pages long.

If your unsure about systems / installers. Visit a few places and ask to speak to customers with the same / similar vehicle as yours that has been converted a number of years ago and ask the questions you want the answers to. Here's a compact that had been fitted with a M3 motor and runs faultlessly on LPG with no loss of power and no idle issues.
