so the moral of this story is always get a cowboy conversion done as it gives you a whole two minutes longer to scarper before it goes boom.

Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't a safety valve be included as standard on all multivalves? When I had my first Range Rover done I specifically asked that the valve be orientated with the vent pointing to the rear nearside passenger seat, usually occupied by the mother-in-law.

Shame that in 1 video they didnt show lpg conversions close how it was done..
But my custumers lpg system top cowboy job..
I have one more video range rover supercharged cowboy job. It was top price paid fir it 2600 pounds..scary..will put later video

Which goes to demonstrate that not all cowboy installers are easily recognisable. A long standing and sadly ongoing problem for the LPG industry. It does however prove the value of a resource such as this forum where you can not only source installers but usually obtain reviews for them as well.

Life would be much easier if cowboys wore checked shirts, ten gallon hats and gun belts, sadly some can be very convincing as I (and I'm sure others here) have found to there cost.

For the record... All LPG conversions have safety valves, cheap conversions with multivalves arguably more likely to have safety valves than conversions with 4 hole tanks.

Also for the record, regarding this quote from the first video 'Imagine the fire brigade arriving just before this happens (cue the explosion)'... Didn't I say on the 'UKLPG comments' thread that we'd be better with a safety system that required all LPG conversions to be recorded as LPG converted on the log book so the fire brigade would be aware of the conversion? Not good enough just having conversions listed on some private database...

not to bad simon...still have big problem with bmw 735 ecu ,,,ecu is dead order one from lithuania dirty cheap for 175 pounds all set keys, ews ...etc...
there is another proper lpg conversion on top of the range car enjoy...

funny part was that it was not on uk lpg data base,,but owner think that it must be,,,lots of wires was covered with cooking silver foil ,,never seen that kind of wiring, lpg pipes was oil pipes .....,i done a lot of work on this car,it was all the time cut out on heavy load,not surprise 6mm coper pipe to vaiporiser,,it was just to many dodgy things,,,,.
when you see bad lpg conversion on average car its bad.... but car wort over 20k and get superb lpg conversion for 2600 pounds that hurts

Sorry to hear you're still having probs with the petrol BMW ECU, have you taken note of what Tubbs has said? I think that 'All Car' firm might have fixed an ECU for one of my own cars in the past....

You've shown us some very dodgy installs by other installers on this thread, I

especially at the VW DIY job!

When was the Lima system installed? I tried to make out the injectors on that system but might be my mucky laptop screen, can't make them out properly.. V34's? I suppose at least the installer has fitted two Lima (Prins) reducers, the Lima (ahem Prins) ECU is upside down but so are most ECU's on Prins installs... I suppose at least it could be argued that the lengths of wiring and upside down ECU will be enclosed with the covers on that section (?) but what's with the silver foil? Seems like maybe the installer thought it would heat-proof them? The none LPG spec piping is unforgiveable, and is it 6mm piping back to the tank?

Talking about piping, much more fun when you're working on a car and find the original installer has used LPG pipe instead of water hose! Or am I the only one who finds great satisfaction in snapping rubber pipes like a twig (due to them turning brittle) if replacing them?
