Hi guys
My car (BMW E39 530i) is running fine on petrol but rough on gas until it is fully warmed up. However, this is taking about 12 miles! I guess it's the themostat that is shot - would a cool running engine have this effect on LPG? I'm presuming the reducer is not getting warmed up - does that sound right or do I have more problems?
Thanks

Re: Runing rough, running cold
Take it back to your installer !
Re: Runing rough, running cold
I would, but I've heard on here that my installer is a bit of a divvy
Re: Runing rough, running cold
(Filter is full of shit, it's settling when cold and causing rough running from cold until the gas gets warm enough to let it flow through the injectors happily )
During the first 12 miles ! Is the reducer too hot to touch if you pop the bonnet and feel it ?

That is a reasonable shot at it - we see quite a few becoming evident at this time of yearantimony wrote:I guess it's the themostat that is shot

It's always this time of year isn't it.
And just before folks are due to go on holiday. That's another good time for the gas system to decide to play silly buggers.
