Going to fit system myself - now how to do it the right way

So after a bit of reading and chatting with they guys at http://www.tinleytech.co.uk/ i think im going to go ahead and install my system myself.

I appreciate this will be a big learning curve but sure it within my abilities, and im sure i will enjoy it. If it wasn't for the fact work and life commitment wont permit the 3-4 it could take, i would have taken up one of you guys offer but it will probably done on a project basis over a few weekends.

Like recommended on here, the guys at tinleytech also recommend an IMPCO system so that's reassuring. having also spoke to my insurers who have informed me they will accept a DIY install but that it must be inspected by and LPG Authorised installer, certified and added to the database, how do i make sure your install meets compliance? is there a code of practise that i can work from. i have been looking at http://www.diy-lpg.co.uk/ which has some great information but just wondering is there other documentation i should have a look at also

You should get the full documentation from TT telling you how to install it to meet the CoP. They will also check and certify your install after you have done it (as long as you did it right of course). Just check with them and make sure they send you everything.

After i wrote my last post i got an email in from TT, so besides the extra expense there may be space issues with the impco getting it to fit under the dog house without extra addapters.TT say the OMVL and BRC will also work well with my chevy engine, and have lots of satisfied customers using these, but that the impco is the rolls royce of systems.

i have two uklpg installers up here that install and service OMVL BRC system so im thinking it may be an easier install with fitment and for the installers up here to certify it for insurance purposes (when i phoned them they were unsure when i mentioned IMPCO).

what you guys think?
